Worm Popper Alternatives to Kazaa

Hey guys,
Right now I'm using kazaa for downloads still, but I'm finding it very hard to find a lot of songs or sets that I'm looking for. Some of the sets/songs I want are also on this site - my problem is though that I have a slow modem, and cannot stay online long enough to finish a download. Which is why I like kazaa b/c I can resume downloads. My question is - do any of you know of another site/program I can use that would help me find more trance music. The song in particuluar I am trying to find right now is "Rock Your Body (Sander Kleinenberg Dub - Justin Timberlake). Infact, I'm trying to get the whole set of Sander's from Club Space Part 1. I have it on kazaa but it's been a week and a half and I have a very small portion of the file b/c I always need "more sources". Anyway, have anything to help me out?

you could get a program like getright (http://www.getright.com/) that allows you to resume downloads from websites

DC++
Oldo's Hub

I use winmx and kazaa, and use gozilla to resume downloads from websites. The dc hub is good, there is a thread at the top of this sub forum with detials, and u cna resume downloads. But it wont auto reconnect like other programmes if you get disconnected. So if you get cut off every 2 hours like me, u have to reconnect it every 2 hours

u should try soulseek, u will find trance music or trance livesets

Soulseek, Winmx and the rest of them suck. Audiogalaxy got closed down right after napster.. hmm.. the best thing right now is Evolution similar to audiogalaxy and DC/DC++.

definitely soulseek

I'm not sure if I understand how Soulseek works. I was able to get on last night, but wasn't able to search for much/download anything. Is there something I need to do to be able to start sharing files? The slsk.org forums didn't seem to help me out that much. Thanks.

sometimes it takes a while for search results to appear, especially on files taht not many people have

Slsk is incredible for all forms of electronic music... except Trance. There is a very small amount of Trance there. It's really good for everything but that though.

For the trance, nothing will beat DC(++). Oldo's, and if you've signed up, the EMC. Get in there, and you can get anything.

You're kidding about Soulseek, right? I've found that it's excellent, especially compared to Kazaa which has nothing that's current. I guess everyone has their own experiences.

slsk, dc(++) will do. you can also try irc - a quick search will get you where need to go

Any open nap client like Winmx... or MLdonkey

KAZAA LITE

try emule.

get soulseek, just download the black search results because sometimes there are over 100 people on que for a certain person which will cause you to have to wait a while before your download starts. but i have it and ive found it pretty good....20X better than kazaa

the EMC Hub is the best for trance. end of story.

Bittorent is good for getting the exact movie or any other file u want as opposed to the many renamed files on Kazza.

I am on dsl and most of the time when downloading movies using the expiremental client my download speed is around 5kbs while my upload speed of the file at the same time is 20-25kbs, while I am all for sharing and it is the only way that the bittorent or any other p2p community can exist, it seems to take forever to get the file and by the time i have downloaded 700mbs I will have uploaded maybe 3 times as much ie 2.1 gigs etc.

Just my views on bittorent atm

yeh, does take it's time for the torrent to pick up in speed. most of the time there are only about 4 or so seeders initially on a torrent, and a shitload of leechers. Personally i love it, the trick is just to d/l the torrent off of a popular tracker. Either that or wait a few days so the torrent has picked up in speed.. tbh i'm not lookin fwd to d/l terminator 3. Usually i join a tracker v.early on in it's life, which means that, yeh, you'll be uploading more than you d/l.

BT is a great proggie if you get on the right tracker. Otherwise it blows.

[edit - the 'experimental' client seems to be the best about atm. there's bt++ which seems to hog memory, stay away from that if poss.. trackers / sites seem to go down sooo quick nowerdays, turbotrance - if you find any decent trackers, plz pm me them, i'll do the same to you ]
