Ok....after 2 years of use, my V700 finally ate it...both swivel clips are snapped, and it's too shitty to use to spin anymore.
I don't know if I want to buy the V700's again...maybe it's the mixer I'm using(a very basic American DJ which is going ot be replaced very soon with I don't know what but guaranteeed better) or the headphones it self, but other headphones have a louder punch and deeper thumping bass.
The only thing I like about the V700's are it's looks, price and comfort..they contour very good when I'm one ear monitoring, so that's cool.
What other headphones are there on the market for about 100-120 dollars that can give me solid sound and nice comfort?
I know about the headphone thread, and it didn't really help. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Why not get a catalogue from your favourite DJ shop and see what headphones are actually available for $100-120? Then, either post asking opinion on specific models, or read the headphones thread again

Just thought i would let you know, i recently bought the Sennheiser HD280s, and i am not impressed with them.
I almost returned them, but i ended up keeping them for one reason, the massive isolation, they block out EVERYTHING.
I am now considering a pair of Sony MDR 7506/V6, or possibly the Pioneer HDJ1000s.
too late!
I knew Tranz would sound off on this one
- but he is right.... I would spend the extra $ on the Pioneers. I followed his advice & haven't looked back since. Great cans.
i love the hd-280s... such a refined sound
had my hdj1000s for a few weeks now and can't complain about them in anyshape or form. Would def reccomend you at least try them out.
thread hijack
All right Ghostface... I have seen your sig many times now.... go ahead & post the relevant artist & song title, eh?
Cheers...
haha
The lyrics come from the song
Big Pig - Breakaway
It's a real australian pub rocker from a fair few years back. Anyway one of Australia's top DJs, Chris Fraser (North Atlantic) remixed it. He turned it into an absolute pumping dirty progressive house number. Its pretty secret, but I've got a copy of a set he played it in.
Go with the Sony700 again,,, IMO the pioneer is POS
sony 700s suck. the sound quality that comes from them suck even more then the quality that they are made. there are plenty of better cheaper headphones out there.
yeah man, the son'ys look nice but the pioneers look just as nice and have much better sound and they are around the same price.
