UKTA family
who are you lot exactly? I know im relatively new... but find it hard to fit in persae. Not in a butting in sense, but just to adapt to the current ppl
anyway, it was nice to meet some of the TA lot last night at PVD
i think as our group is so large now, a lot of new people who come here are "overwhelmed by the fact that so many people know each other, and sometimnes, jsut dont bother coming here coz they feel left out or whatever. all you have to do really is post here a lot and talk to others and be friendly and it will only be a matter of time before you know everyone and dont feel so "in the way" or whatever
i mean, back in the day there was only about 6-8 regular ukta's so it was quite easy getting to know everyone.
-ste
ps. r u goin to crasher on sunday?
oh, and you have to adhere to mine and tu_face's facist regime
They used to hit me cos I am Scottish
lol.....ive bin clubbing wiv most of these lot for about a year and a half now
more than that actually - sum have cum in l8r on but we r all m8s
remeber that day in taxi ste? there was me u and harry and we were goin to frays and the guy asked us if we were goin to c family LOL - and we sed we might aswell b there like our family...then there was about 30 of us all in that house
aaaaa these r the days of our lives
id consider us to b a freindly lot and we love new ppl cumin in to our group
the more the merrier in my opinion - its gud to know so many people with the same interests and go out together as one group
makes it worth while....we r spread out across the country but we see each other on quite a regular basis (well not rite now dues to my leg lol) and its gud cos if we go clubbing sumwhere esle chances r we know a house to go to afterwards
bonus!
i think the original group was jeff, nita, fray, jase and spad
the first time i met jeff n nita at gc was a picotto nite at crasha, although i had seen em around since i started goin gc - we ended up at same after party and bobs ur uncle!

I'm just one of the people who moan about the good old days, and when we used to talk total crap on this forum all day long, hehe.
Well hopefully a few summer meet ups should b getting near 100 people, its gonna b hard to learn everyones names

Whoa the old days. I'm the Irish one so I stand out like a saw thumb and no I don't have GINGER Hair, I just have different views on things lol.
I joined here in early April 2001 I remember there was about 8 odd people in this forum, I remember meeting Jeff, Fray, Nita and Jason at GCSSS 2001 but very briefly. It has grow at a big rate I can tell u that. I remember when there was about 10 people then it grew by early 2002 to about 25 ppl meeting up regualary. But the catalyst in the whole thing working if you ask me was the chesterfield mob (Jeff, Fray, Nita, Spad, and Jason) as they used to go out a lot and started up most of the meetups and it just grew from there.
First big sucessfull meet up was the April NEC in 2002 and it was fucking great hilarious everyone was in a mess but it was one of my enjoyable times out. Then GKGG which was fucking huge, but since its grown and grown and as much as its cosy still to have the same people around which is great, its good to see new faces every now and then on here breaths new life to things.
Another which has worked. I think most of us have adapted to each other you know we all have different personalities, different views on things, we're rich, middle class or poor, white black hispanic or asian, and we're all inviduals different from one another yet we've formed a good group of people we're all close mates and we've all built up a good rappour with each other and linked togther, and stood by one another, these are people who I will never lose contact with, you've met some these people about 6 times in person yet u feel like you've known them for years.
We're known on the site for humour aswell, with the classic fights and pointless yet funny threads. And the good old days were good but things are new and they have changed we will always remember our roots yet we will all adapt to one another. I think once the meetups start this summer things will go back to being even more mental then were before not 25 ppl talking crap but 100 people.

for the rest, whoever fancies burnt burgers, stuffed peppers, booze, food, music, good sound system, feel free to pop over, would love to see a lot of u round if u can make it.
the ukta mob has grown a fair bit even in the last 6 months or so! mind you its still mostly the usuals in #ukta chat though
i still need to get my MIRC sorted again as i aint been in alot as of late!
ill get it sorted when i return from seville
Aye toby I know what you mean things haven't been so great lately but everyone should think positivly not like anyones died or anything anyways the meetups act as good ice breakers and bring everyone togther, plus things seem to have got a lot better lately. I think things will always be united on here even if don't focus on it so much anything which don't like it will eventually leave or grow tired of it.
Yeah Sam you might of missed last summer however this summer will be bigger, better, and more of laugh
I've just got a feeling it is going to be.
If UKTA is a family, then I'm the estranged cousin who never visits...
Ive not met anyone yet still cept Jon o Bir at slinky on fri. Hopefully i can get to Red and Black, but its not looking likely
aaah reminissing (sp?) thread
aye the good old days when jason + spad used to drive up from used to drive up from luton + bournemouth respectively (maniacs!).. the best one was when we had nowhere to go after crasher.. the only option was my house with my mum and dad there.. we just got fakkin wasted anyway lol! my dad remarked at how many fags i'd been smokin that weekend
aye, i think this summer will be fuckin mint. the festivals shall be full of madness, and we'll see if we can beat last years meet up
