Why reverse the song titles???

Isn't the format around here... Track# - Title - Track Name????

I hate it

Oops! Didn't realize I wrote it backwards! But hey, give it a chance and let me know what you think of my mixes. They're not backwards I promise.

Thanks for the mix, I'll download it tomorrow, and have a short review ready for you on thursday. Tracklisting looks good, if a bit predictable. Next time try to stick some less known trance (or maybe a breakbeat tune or something) in there with the anthems.

Thumbs up

1. Forever Waiting - Mr. Sam vs. Fred Baker presents As One
2. Destination - Solarstone vs. Sirocco
3. Mesmerize - Fate Federation
4. Release - Solarstone

The first three transitions sound really good with awesome flow. The fading-out bit from 2-3 is ace!

5. Silver Bath - Plastic Boy
6. Open Your Eyes (Original Club Mix) - Insigma

4-5 & 5-6 are a bit harder transitions to do than the previous 3 I imagine. The beats are a bit off here throughout both transitions, other than that they sound nice. I was listening to this through my MDRV-700 headphones, maybe it isn't that noticable when played loud?

7. Tranceformation - Push vs. Globe

Superb mixing into Tranceformation...

8. Monkey Forest - Midway
9. Velvet Morning (Mirco De Govia Remix) - Kyau vs. Albert
10. Eye Of Horus (Ronski Speed Mix) - Aly & Fila

The next 3 are good, solid mixes but again the beats are a little off for a bit too long, most noticeable at the end of Tranceformation into Monkey Forest.

11. Rococco (Fire & Ice Remix) - Kansai
12. Calling Your Name (Thrillseekers Remix) - Jan Johnston

The last two transitions are quite hard to do, the bass-kick from the Fire & Ice remix of Rococco manages to conflict with almost any other tune out there, so even though it sounds a bit unnatural, you are still doing these transitions good.

-

Overall very good & tight mixing with only a few minor exceptions; a bit dodgy beatmatching here and there. The flow and build-up of energy in the set is great. I could easily see this mix as a "Gatecrasher - Resident Transmission" CD or something similar. Keep up the good work

Thanks so much for the detailed reviews Zapper!! I really appreciate it! And you're definitely right, I've got to keep my mixes a little tighter. I'll work on it. Thanks again!!

Thanks for the mix, I just listened it and imho it's nothing new and I have listened too many this kind of sets.
Mixing is okey, but mayby you could next time add some tracks that are little bit different and not so usual.
Any way, keep up good work!

Here are my two cents:

I like the track selection. The energy levels are right through most of your set (i.e., increasing), although I think Release -> Silver Bath don't fit together too well.

A few of the mixes (1-2,7-8 for example) are of songs with clashing keys. I would advise you look into harmonic mixing, as transitions will sound significantly better if the keys of each song make a good sound together, as opposed to sounding a little off even with perfect beatmatching.

Finally, I think I noticed that a few of the mixes didn't seem to be phrase matched (notably 6-7) and sounded a little disjointed as a result.

Keep up the hard work - almost there!
