Does anybody here download mixes from their university residences?

Hey

Do any of the TAs here download from their res. rooms at varsity?

I am assuming that the universities wouldn't look too happy on it, since it would use bandwidth etc.. So how do you manage it? Do you limit your d/l to a certain k/sec or do the universities ignore it?

Just was wondering.

My residence totally banned napster but people set up their own network so everyone in res could share all their files. you would just go on and choose a building, floor, etc. and saw all the music people had. YOu could have also searched. Was neat because some ppl had thousands of songs.

They didn't care at Ryerson but I know a lot of schools banned napster when it was still worth using.

I went to suny Buffalo and these kids in my school made a network that shares movies,games, porn and even simpsons episodes galore. They also made two search engines to search peoples computers for filez. Plus some person made a program called resnester which our school's netwrok is called resnet which is a napster based program for our network. Crazy huh. Well atleast I was alble to get a library full of movies for free and I miss my t1 server modem!!!
