Help With Moving out to California
Hey Everyone,
My name is Steve, and I am currently living in Buffalo New York. I just graduated from the University At Buffalo and am now looking to start work in California. I went to school for film and obviously I have to get out of buffalo if I want to work in my field. I presently have 2 internship possibilities in California, one in Santa Monica, the other in Beverly Hills. What I need help with is are there any websites that you could suggest that I could look up apartments on....or better yet, does anyone need a roommate? Also, I am not sure if these internships are paying or not, so I would also need to look for jobs online before I came out there. I would love to work in the fine dining business as that is what I have been doing for a while already. Thanks for reading this looooong post. If anyone has any resources they could pass along here I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
Steve
sites for you
Craigslist is very good:

Westside rentals has lots of listings too:

There are others, but these are the best. Enjoy & good luck!

I moved to LA about 8 months ago, and the best advice I can give is make sure you have at least a couple grand saved if not more, and as far as rent and stuff goes its usually cheaper to roommate with someone, just check the classifieds in the area you move to, there will be tons of wanted roommates, there always are.
rent is cheaper in the valley... like studio city, canoga park...
as you toward the beaches, like santa monica, venice, then it will be more expensive
in hollywood area, the cheaper place is around silverlake and echo park.
PEOPLE CAME FROM EAST COAST ususally never leave L.A. again...
it's really nice here
