Love DNS5000, so many features and tricks that CDJ1000 doesn't even come close to. btw. Pioneer ISN'T the club standard around the world, bullcrap. It's more like 50/50 Denon and Pioneer. and one of many reasons why lots of clubs have Pioneer djm(POS) and CDJs is because Pioneer is a slut. They pay for clubs to use their gear. Whereas brands like Allen and Heath whos mixers are used in quite a few of the biggest clubs worldwide, don't even give their mixers away, they make the clubs pay for them. Same with Denon. If you want a quality product for your club, spend the money and get great gear, if you don't want to spend money and even expect to get paid for promoting manufacturer's product, you'll end up with a slut like Pioneer, hehehe.

Denon is badass

I have personally used both setups. I can say that Denon has Pioneer beat in pretty much all categories except one. That is scratching. If you don't scratch, then don't worry about it. The Denon's do not sound as crisp as the Pioneers while scratching. There is a bit of a delay at the beginning and end of a scratch move, that truly sound digital. This is IMO, of course. That is my only gripe on them.

The only other thing I can think of is that with the Denon, you are dealing with a lot of moving parts that could fail sooner then the Pioneers....but that is only speculation, as I haven't heard anything about them failing yet...
