Mantis looks puny when put beside dragster .. so anyone else up for a quick heart attack?

I love rollercoasters

Top Thrill Dragster looks unbelievable and as the worlds highest rollercoaster at 420 Feet (3.5 times higher than Top Gun), a 90 degree drop and speeds of 120 MPH, I'm ready to leave my stomach at the bottom. Can't wait to ride it

ooh...that's cedar point in ohio. i was there last august. what an amazing place!

the big blue coaster is the millenium force. we waited in line at like 9pm for that bad boy, and ended up waiting like 2 hours or so to get on. what an amazing ride!!

there is also another one that is one step down from the millenium force, and that coaster rocks as well...such a wicked drop.

anyone that loves coasters HAS to make the trip to cedar point at least once.

steve.

anyhow .. if anyone here is ever interested in goin , lemme know and i can share some details ..

Posted by sohaness on May-22-2003 17:43:

^^ yeah i think that's the one...

also, for people that want to go, on the really hot days, they have large fans that blow a cold mist on you while you're waiting in line for the popular coasters.

lol, wild beast at PCW actually isn't that bad, especially when its trim brakes are off (even better when there's a little rain on the track).. that and Minebuster and Vortex would probably be the only coasters that would still have some decent value at Wonderland (but then again, I'm willing to pay like $20 max to get into that park)

how come there's no pics of Wicked Twister @ CP? that's not exactly your run-of-the-mill impulse coaster

Posted by marcus82 on May-22-2003 18:25:

hmmmm...

isn't wonderland 18 bux sometime soon? i heard it on the radio but i forgot the date...i hope it wasn't on vic day.

hahahaha .. wow, that shooting really puts a bad light on Wonderland .. probably why they were (or will be) selling $18 tickets ..

actually CP has it's share of really freaky moments .. it's Vertigo tower collapsed off-season .. imagine that happening during open-season

Posted by cap on May-22-2003 20:00:

bah the shooting was outside and coulda taken place anywhere (IE. a club?!!?)

Luca! rite now we're thinkin the weekend of the 31st, 1st and 2nd June.. as probable, and the rain date weekend being .. June 7,8,9..

basically we wanna try and head down there before all the highschool kiddies get off school for the summer. drop me an email sometime if ur interested, i know it's gonna be an awesome experience !

Posted by Bizz on May-23-2003 06:43:

The last week of August is also a good time to go. Last time I went to CP was during this time period when all the American kiddies were back in school and therefore absent from the park (it was a weekday), and admission was half-price.

Been there and done that on Victoria Day, Oh man what a fuckin rush and a half, considering I smoked 2 in a row before heading into the park, also catch the "Bat" while stoned... going backwards, oh shit!

I lOVE ROLLERCOASTERS!!!

I remember the first time i went to wonderland i was scared shitless to go on one of these things but after a while of convicing by some of my friends i have tried and never stoped loving it since that time on.

These things rule. My goal is to go to Islands of Adventure in Florida and try the ones there. Has anyone been to that theme park?

nopes .. but i definately wanna check it out too .. ! i've been to Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, FL before and that park totally OWNZ! the coasters there are sweet and it's really scenic too because of the topical aura ..

their 4 seater inverted "Montu" weaves thru palm trees and u dangle over alligators heh .. so that was fun ..

Shit that sounds amazing.... I want to go to Florida real bad now.

Last year a bunch of us went down to Florida and were supposed go to Busch Gardens but most of my friends said its too much like wonderland but i don't see the comparison I bet Busch Gardens is much better because of hte tropical aura that you mentioned.

omg .. to compare Busch Gardens to Wonderland is a crime !

there's not a single coaster at Wonderland that comes anywhere close to the rides at both Busch parks (which i've been too). the one in Tampa has the largest wooden-dual in the world, the world's largest 4-seater inverted , and 3rd or 4th largest 4 seater steel upright i believe ..

not to mention that everybody there has a nicer killer tan !!
