| TRANCE.NU -- Belgian star M.I.K.E. that have embraced the scene with music from a dozen guises sat down with TNU to give us an update on whats new with him. Written by: Ralf Elfving, aka Macman Push, M.I.K.E., Solar Factor, Plastic Boy, Liquid Overdose, Virtua Trancer and more are just a small portion of the guises hes been producing under, not to mention the number of productions hes put out. Trance.nu sat down with former Bonzai headliner Mike Dierickx to see what hes been up to, and what to expect for the summer. Since Lightning Records went under youve had time to re-launch your own label, Scanner Records. Whens the first release coming out, and what is it? I ran Scanner already for 2 years, but now completely independently. Weve released 15 vinyl so far.. Go to http://www.scanner-records.be for info. Now we got a new direction with potential new artists to bring fresh electric music in the widest form. Music Villages 5 AM label also picked up your Plastic Boy guise, and the first release is coming out rather soon. Could you tell us more about it? Big Fish did a good job so far to my productions, and its all about good teamwork. So I thought it was a clear decision to go on with it, especially for the UK. Banshee worx will do the rest of the world. And then therere two releases due on Captivating and Armin van Buurens new Armada label. Whats the story behind those? You have to ask Armin. Captivating will be more proggy-club I guess, thats why they signed the Ofra Haza track The new M.I.K.E. called Turn the lights off, its comes in 2 vinyl after the summer. When Armin heard it the first time he went mental :-), so he asked me if he could sign it to his new imprint. And as weve always wanted to work together.. This was the first step. You and British John 00 Fleming has also been in your new studio producing, when can we expect the outcome of that and whats it like? Very soon.. He's busy working on a remix. As we always start to produce a main theme together, and then we work out 2 mixes in our own studio. Besides producing, he became a very close friend! Now that Lightning has rose again, under the Banshee name will you do releases for them as well? Of course... There are things on the way.. I've got my own reasons why I didn't join their new company, cause I want to run my own company. But we will team up again...you'll see... So, theres a lot to expect from one of the scenes most efficient and respected producers. Just sit back, relax and trust Trance.nu to deliver more upfront news on Mikes upcoming release. |
Ouais ben esprons que ce sera aussi bien qu'avant.
