Freaky illusion (not one of the fake lame ones)

stare at the center of the spiral
for about a minute. Then look at the back of your hand...

er, nothin happened

dude, there's nothing magic about this picture, thats some phenomenon known in psychology i studied a while ago...

you can do it with almost any picture, stare at black dot for example and look somewhere else or whatver the expirment was back then...

BTW your hand is supposed to move like it has some waves in it..

i've seen something similar before, your hand is supposed to distort and stuff. works best the longer you stare at it. some ppl probably stared at it for 5 secs, then looked.....patience.

i never said it was magic. and yes it has to do with psychology as all illusions do. all issusions are formed on the basis of tricking our minds. this is not a after image illusion. i know what you are talking about but this one is different. i think this is an example of what you are talking about....


stare at that for 45 seconds then look at a white sheet of paper.

sorry i forgot to mention that the back of your hand is supposed to look like it is moving around.

they have an 8foor by 8 foot one of these at this local place here. There fucking wall ripples and looks like its breathing. Its like being on acid or something. This stuff rocks

Yeah i remember doing something like that in psych too its all about the effects of the color on your mind, as well as the vision and how if you stare at something for a while then if you look over at something else the after effect will make something happen (you see things or something like that) i don't remember exactly.

But still its pretty cool i enjoyed doing that stuff in psych we ended up doing a bunch of illusions

it is called an after image. read above.
