Satoshie Tomiie Recommendations
I just checked Satoshi's new remix of Delerium and I liked it. I always thought he was a deep prog guy but after hearing this im eager to hear some more of his work, so asking for some recommendations on his good works.
check out his 'integration' cd

Love in Traffic owns. It's GU: Los Angeles compressed and canned.
You might like Graffik - A Lesser Man [Satoshi Tomiie Mix] as well.

That's right, the Delerium remix was quite unique as far as Satoshi's concerned. However that doesn't mean the rest of his work is bad -- far from it! Check these:
FSOL - Papua New Guinea (Satoshi Tomiie Main Path/Flip Path)
Satoshi Tomiie - Virus (Main Path)
Perhaps his most famous remix and production, but rightly so. Luke Fair did a rather nice mix of Virus as well, but the Main Path is the one to key in on... epic stuff.
I like his mix of A Lesser Man also, but I think the original is better. Still, it's one of his more melodic remixes and certainly worth looking for if you liked his take on After All.
Hey don't forget:
Satoshi Tomiie - Up in Flames (Bedrock Mix)
Satoshi Tomiie - Atari (Jaded Vox in Japan Mix)
I wouldn't call either massive hits or anything like that, but I definitely think both are pretty decent tunes.
gu019 cd1 uses 4 of his productions or things he was involved with
nubreed 6
tho I did see tomiie live in 2002 and he sucked then again, that's only one set but the set was awful.
Thanx for the help guys im gonna check these out right now.

The Lament(Dub 4 Satoshi) was produced per his request, if I remember correctly, to be a bit darker and to have more subtle vocals. This is the same Satoshi Tomiie we're talking about.

| Originally posted by starglider It's not actually a remix by Satoshi, that was somewhat mislabelled. The name of the mix is "Dub 4 Satoshi". Since the tune was released on Tomiie's label Saw Recordings, G&D did a second mix that's closer to the Saw sound. But in any event that's the dub I was referring to and it is indeed great. |
