Matti Laamanen aka Cosmicman - Flakes (Incl Ferry Corsten Remix)
very corsten made another MEDIOCRE remix, but the original is such a quality tune! \
Original:9/10
Corsten:6/10
Sluslik Luna:8/10
Nice 1!
Ferry Corsten remix is craptacular!
S H A M E Mr Ferry Corsten!! it sounds like the original mix, but your remix is really poor compare to the original mix.
Slusnik Luna is SO BAD too.
and the winner is...MATTI LAAMANEN!!
orginal mix is the best. Other mixes are fucking C R A P.

cosmicman has proven himself to be a top producer time and time again. i'm really not surprised that his original mix dwarfs the other two.
Slusnik Luna Mix is the best! Damn nice choon
Hmm.. I dont think ferry should get 6\10...
It's not a great remix like is others.. but it's good too.. I would give him 7\10 or 8\10...
And the original is really good..
Come on dude -> Have you got ears?
That Sluslik Luna is the BEST rmx on the vinyl.
I personally hate the Corsten rmx, it doesn't contribute anything to the track.

I only heard Original mix and I like it. 8.5/10
Ehh, the Ferry mix is the same as the original with different bassline and drums. Very disappointing.

OMG FC BLOWS!
Tell you the turth I only like half of the original...
Well matti beats are always good but the frist half of the track with the pad "melody" is blah IMO , I didn't like it and ferry used it in his remix only....
What I liked his the second half of the track where you can hear the matti cosmicman style which I love... those beautiful semples and riffs ,strings and geart bulidup .... ferry doesn't use it so its blah.
Original is half blah , half awesome.
Hope you understand

When its starts costing the artist hundreds of pounds so people can have a free record to play, they start thinking about calling it a day! You could of course had a little respect for this industry and reported whoever offered you the track. If not to the relevant authority but maybe to the artist themselves so they could do something. |
Original does it for me, following the Slusnik Luna 9/10. FC Rmx being almost identical i give it no credit.
the slusnik luna mix really caught my ear ... the uplifting edge to psy bassline sounds pretty strange at first but definitely worth a listen ...
Well, the ripping is pretty much unstoppable. Neither the industry can stop it, nor the artists, nor the goverments, nor anybody, it doesn't matter how many efforts are made to stop them, they'll always come back. Cut a head, and 3 more will pop out, it's pretty much the history of humanity. The thing that is forgotten is that people will still buy their stuff. If someone's good enough, their records will be sold in one way or another, that's a fact, people should stop seeing the mp3s scene so negatively when they've been the ones that have introduced many of us to this music. Yes they might put in danger early works and stuff, but for those that have a true love for music, they will always end up buying the final stuff, regardless if they previously had a full rip from the internet. Caring about the sales is pathetic, the quality of their music should be the top priority. It's not like they all depend on a 100% on their music to live everyday, and for those that do is because they're good and have been around for years and know that their music will be sold regardless of a zillion lame mp3 groups out there that might rip their stuff weeks before it's out when they know that they're making great music. In the end, the music is what should be cared the most, good tunes will always have a good success in the shelves as much as they do on the rippers cases. So there, end of my ranting.
Now back to the topic, the original mix rocks as everyone knows. The ferry corsten remix ain't too different as many have pointed out, a more radical change would have been nice, but at the same time I think the original was already unbeatable so there wasn't much that ferry could have done, still it's a good mix, perfect for a chillout session. Now the Slusnik Luna Mix is a bit ehh strange, certainly it's a hella lot different but nothing special.
Original Mix 10/10
Ferry Corsten Mix 8.5/10
Slusnik Luna Remix 4.5/10
PS: sorry about my ranting, flame at will if you like.

| Originally posted by arctic Correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't you part of a ripping group? If so, then you just made an absolute idiot of yourself. Also, the hub is constantly discussed on ta. It's rather hard to miss. I've got nothing against ripping. I like to hear a track in decent quality before i buy it (Only if its availible on cd tho), i think its a good promo tool. You cant stop it, so it isnt any use bitching about it. |
