-- whats gonna be big next year ??
Pages (2): [1] 2 »
what tracks or DJ's do you think are gonna make it big next year ?? Are there any good DJ's that haven't made it that you think will next year. I'd like to know
I think hard house is becoming more and more popular at least here. Check out http://www.nukleuz.com for the finest artists of that genre.
i agree i think Nick Sentience is definetely gonna rise to the top next year. He's done alot of great remixes this year and a few good tracks himself - "Freedom"
This year, the UK scene has been all about hard house, progressive and garage
My predictions on who is going to be recognised at last:
James Holden (ive been a big fan of his since i found horizons on white about a year an a half ago)
Psychobabble (Big mp3.com talent, just being recognised on the underground over here)
Joshua Ryan (im tellin u, as soon as 'pistolwhip' is released he is gonna be big big news!! good tune to find on napster .)
Mad Dogs (if uve heard 'better make room' you'll know what im talking about. big talent uncovered by timo maas, also most of their work is done with james holden :-D)
this time nxt year i hope ill be sayin "i told u so..."
peace ppl
Look out for Trancecore/Freeform conquer the decks, especially in the US
Look for more remixes of classic 80's tunes & about the same level of garbage trance being released in 'compilations' to mass market everywhere...
Also look for sounds like those pumped out by Timo Maas & Mauro Picotto to get an even bigger following.
thanx guys, i agree that joshua Ryan is gonna blow up when the mass market hear Pistolwhip. What a tune, its one of them ones u always loose it on the dancefloor when its played
I too that Joshua Ryan's Pistolwhip is one wicked song, but it's quite old. I first heard it over a year ago, and I've been a fan of his ever since. Maybe it's because he's semi-local, he's from the LA scene, and I live in San Francisco. Here's a list of his works that I've collected if anybody has anything I'm missing please send it my way.
Joshua Ryan - Pistolwhip (Original Mix)
Joshua Ryan - Pistolwhip (James Holden Mix)
Joshua Ryan - Pistolwhip (Way Out West Mix)
Joshua Ryan - The Chase
Joshua Ryan - Thunderclap
Johsua Ryan - Don't Look Back (X-Cabs Mix)
Mocean Worker - Into Thin Air (Joshua Ryan Evaporation Dub)
X-Cabs - Neuro99 (Joshua Ryan Mix)
***These last few were pulled from mix cds if anybody has the complete vinyl rip please contact me***
Joshua Ryan vs. Doran - Unreal
Joshua Ryan - Don't Look Back (Paul Grogan Mix)
Cleveland Lounge - Drowning (Joshua Ryan Remix)
Suzaku
Thanx i didn't know Joshua Ryan had done that much stuff. Must go and download some of it now.
good lack !
well there u go, u learn something new every day... pistolwhip isnt even released here yet! and i need that james holden mix...
peace out trancEaddicts
ok well I hope gabber is finally gonna hit off cause it fucking owns! and I think Signum (Ron Hagen and Pascal M) will finally get the recognition they deserve by becoming well known in england. I also hope this is the year Alice Deejay's disappears (not the bird tho cause shes fit hehe)
Regards

ye i agree on the signum thing, i aint heard much of their stuff but what i have heard is cool as fuck. also i hope 'pep n up' get some recognition coz they have been fighting to be heard for quite a while.
p.s. simcut: how did you get that funky lil smilie thing on your signature? it rulez!!
hey there. yeah Signum seriously rock but I am quite concerned because their latest production "Solar Level" is not their typical style - I like it but I prefer their normal style with the amazing builds. yeah I got the latest Pep N Up a month ago called "Time and Space" I dont know of Pep N Up but the vinyl rocks - the Warp Brothers Mix is VERY good and the other mixes are sweet too!
as for the cool smilie thingy e-mail me via my address in my profile and I'll e-mail you the .gif file and tell you how to import it into your signature

Guys, you forgot one very good producer, that will definitely become huge this year - Marco V
This guy mixes hard-house with uplifting club-trance and he is very creative.. also he's a great dj..
Marco rules!
oh, and also Dj Scot Project! if he will keep up making these brilliant remixes!!
i remembered another dj to mention... anyone ever heard any Corvin Dalek? if uve heard timo maas play then u probably have. theyre kind of a twisted mix between goa, progressive, and tribal, its mad as toast but equally as amazing. u can probably get a track off napster, i recommend looking for 'pounds & penz', top top tune!!
Simcut: the gabber scene has already vanished. The dj's who spun gabber music have all gone hardtrance. A good example is dj Gizmo.
I do agree on Signum and dj Scot project. Espacialy Scot project is kickin'.
Hopefullly HHC will make a big appearence..not that it will...but it damned well should.
ROCK ON FRISKY!!!
I see alot of you people saying DJ Scot Project is going to be big. What other remixes has he/she/they done apart from that Hennes and Cold tune. I'm know very little about them !
agi: DJ Scot Project is Frank Zenker, and he's been making music for some years now. I am aware of the following:
As DJ Scot Project:
U (I Got A Feeling)
Y (How Deep Is Your Love)
X^2 (Time Is Now)
F (Future Is Now)
As Arome:
Scream
Talk II Me
And for the remixes - some of the later ones are:
Beam vs. Cyrus "Thunder In Paradise"
DJ X-2000 "Modem"
Cosmic Gate "Fire Wire"
Yves Deruyter "Back To Earth"
Meteor Seven "Universal Music"
and of course that Hennes & Cold track...
I like his style, and I sure hope he continues to pump out bangin' tunes next year, whether or not he gains/loses popularity.
There's a label-party liveset with him at http://www.energytrance.com and at http://beam.to/shadow-zone . It includes a lot of his latest remixes - enjoy
Definitly agree on the scott project thing, that remix of modem is purely amazing! the funny thing is he is hardly heard of over here in the UK, i think im the only one i know that plays his shit!
There's a lot of talent out there that is just waiting to be heard, and its really annoying when they dont get the attention they need:
DJ Rob Little
Pascal FEO
Orion (just being heard now... bout bleedin time!!)
Rachel Auburn
Ultra Violet
and for some reason no-one seems to have heard of Satoshi Tomiie... madness
Thanx man, definately gotta do some research on this guy now !
Also check out "Night Club - French Kiss (Dj Scot Project Remix)".. It has the coolest build-up I ever heard

yeah DJ Scot Project rules. He also did
Arome - Here We Go
Foxx - Move That Body
DJ Supreme - The Horns of Jericho (Remix)
and DJ Wag - Man On The Moon (Remix)
thats all I can add to the list of what he has done.

Eyal Barkan
I think Eyal Barkan will get VERY big if he can get into a great trance party!
He's the man behind Viagra (Yahel - Voyage) and other.
i bet ferry corsten, armin van buuren, tisto and jean will still be big for many years...
