Tiesto - Magik Journey <--- question

Did he write this whole thing by himself ( specificly the classical part? )

Posted by GrimReaper on May-26-2003 22:14:

I'm not sure but i think it's an excerpt from some classical track, can't remember the name now. If any1 knows better, plz reply.

Ahh.. cool. So it was by them afterall.

Both versions of the track were written and composed by tiesto & geert huinink. For the album version, the vocals were provided by lizet van beek.

[Edit] just realised, someone beat me to it, sorry forums are running a bit slow for me tonight

I want the version he played on his concert. You can get two mixes of this on the in my memory LP though.

magik journey has to be has to be tiesto's greatest track ever. this track is the sole reason i am such a tiesto addict today. it's just sooo beautiful. ahhh, now you got the riff stuck in my head.

I think the fact that Geert was in on this one is a big part of the reason why Magik Journet turned out to be as beautiful as it is.I mean, just listen to some Dawnseekers-tunes.He and Alco really have got the classical trance thing down.

I didn't know that Danwseekers was Geert. Now i know why i loved some songs of Dawnseekers

i didnt have any idea about geert cooperating on this track, but i read somewhere, that the only tracks that have tiesto in their name are high quality are those that were produced by someone else... and btw, magik musik remake is much better than original IMO

Well as far as I know, there are only two versions of the track,

Album version (with female operatic vocals, as played in Tiesto's Dutch Dimension 02-02-2002 set)

Alternative version (which has a harder sound to it)

Hope this helps,

Mark

They are also twentysomething, modus operandi, and photon project...

I'm still confused about magik journey...

The two on the IN my memory limited vinyl LP are labeled as:

album
alternative

There's also a magik muzik remix of this song as well?

Doesn't have anything on the Hybrid's incorporation of strings.

80-piece Russian orchestra.

beautiful

Magik Journey is still one of my favourite tracks off the In My Memory album as well...

A quiet track to start off Trance albums seems to be standard fare, but that song is so beautiful and melodic, definitely a cut above what other artists settle for. I gained a lot of respect for Tiesto on it's merits.
