Smiley DJ The Best Feeling

Is it not the best feeling, as a DJ, to have the entire crowd cheer when they recognize the hook of a particular track? This happened a lot at a gig two weekends ago, and I still feel great about it.

What does it for you when you are in the booth?

the best feeling is when you look up during a mix and see every single person dancing hard
or during a buildup and every person in the place is going nuts

the best thing ever is being introduced then dropping in the first record and everyone cheers and starts dancing

nothing compares

Smiley DJ

I was waiting for one to be sexual.

Good pic, though. I would have to agree.

when the crowds chant "one more song" or "your name"

Posted by JohnSmith on May-30-2003 18:17:

yeah, i love it when they say "Your name, your name!!!"

well, so far, none of the experiances listed i've experienced. thats right....no crowd chanting my name, no crowd going nuts over a song, no crowd begging for one more song, and no groupies performing "favors" for me while i mix......

so far, the best feeling i get is right after a looooong mix session in my room....right after i've gone through about all my records, and perfected just about every transition.

Acid john same here

but as long if i can give my self that feeling, i am happy, and i know i will spinning some day when the all begggg 4 one more record... them i hope i will never wake up

but i know what you guys mean with that feeling sometimes ( almost always ) i am on the crowed and it's give's so much energy that my hairs are standing up

I like when the crowd is expecting something and then you mix in something totally off the wall and they're all like....

Posted by Xavier on Jun-02-2003 02:45:

when the beats are off a bit and you correct them again by giving the little 'shove' to the table. its like 'okay, no worrys beats are back on again!'

and also when you find out the beats are still in sync after 1 phrase or more. I say to myself 'thank God! ThankyouJesus!'

maybe they appear to be no feeling to you, but these are my best feelings!
