Tohunga - Waikikamukau (OrgaNik Remix)

Uh-huh, this has to be one of the quickest remix jobs I've ever done... started it yesterday! Oh well, once you get an inspiration...

Anyways,
here it is:

Tohunga - Waikikamukau (OrgaNik Remix) (08:41, 11.9MB, 192kbps)

The summer holiday starts today for me and I wanted the remix to express my feelings about it

Lemme know how you like it.

Wonderful job, I was writing a message and I felt all inspired, talking about faith and spiritual awakenings. Great production wise and especially for the amount of time you did it in.

aaah sweeeet
thanks for remixing!
i like the (even more) summer-ish percussion in the beginning!
and the bassline is a lot better the in the org. as well
you didnt change the mainmelody too much, but i take that as a compliment
very nice what you did to the intro melody!
overall your version sounds a lot fuller, how did you do that?
great work man!!
thanks again!

Multiple basslines, multiple syntlines, pads and some reverb trickery

Same opinion as luke.

Very well produced, like the percs & synths (as usual).

Well done.

dling. i loved the original, so i'm really lookin forward to this!

Posted by nic01445 on Jun-02-2003 04:13:

dun really like the intro percussion and effects...they sound kinda dark, which the rest of this track isnt at all. I like the elements you have playing with the lead, they really give it some depth! nice remix.
9/10

This is one that sort of grew on me as I listened to it. I wasn't feeling it at all when it started, but I was jamming out by the end. The beginning just seems to deep and mellow in contrast with the rest of the song. Just my $0.02 worth!

Posted by Jakhira on Jun-03-2003 12:16:

What does the crowd think?

Right then, imagine how it went :

Sunday evening... 'Prelude to Ibiza' party
Dj Pumaz starts his set by playing a track with loads of bongos, and people look at each other and then to the dj...
The intro synths start and people smile (big smiles btw!) The kick starts and they've started to move...
First breakdown and they put their hands in the air towards the green lasers...
Main lead builds up and and they're smiling again and someone (girl i think) screams rather loud...
Beat kicks in and they're off...

Dude, you're on a winner here!

Wow, I wish I'd been there

Posted by Jakhira on Jun-03-2003 12:37:

I wish you were there too, so I could see the look on yer face.

Posted by John on Jun-03-2003 14:40:

that sounds good haha
where exactly did you play this pumaz? since i go out in belgium from time to time (illusion, highstreet etc..)

Don't get too excited, in a small club in my hometown, Aalst. It has a capacity of about 300.
