Hey M8, in USD if you know, with shipping what is your friend's Budget??? I'll give him a great deal on a good mixer, but need to know what is he looking to spend and what type of music he spins, that will help me with making sure features will benefit the user.

Posted by Flash Bastard on May-30-2003 14:19:

he spins the same as me .. trance hardtrance/ a bit progessive so no scratching etc, and the budget not more then let's say 200 usd

the budget is about 200-250 huh?
well, i sugest you take a look at the behringer VMX300
Too bad that dre doesn't sell them. but i know they have an excellent quality.

http://www.behringer.com/02_product...VMX300&lang=eng

This mixer costs 249

Posted by Flash Bastard on May-30-2003 15:42:

hmm .. we don't need bpmcounters and kill switches, and 3 channels .. 2 will do ... are there any other left

sorry bout the big pic

I never touched the behringer mixers but alot of ppl on this board uses them and they dont complain but i have played with the Gemini( i own one) and the numark, and i must say the numark is pretty decent, the kills are amazing and the EQs are fantastic

but the gemini mixer is a scratch mixer so its really hard to pull off smooth mixes specially if your spinning trance like me, see if you can test them out before he buys them, and with the behringers you get what you pay for, its like that for all the mixers above.

Posted by Tiger777 on May-30-2003 17:58:

I read you're satisfied with 2 chanels... forget it, it's not enuf. And those kill switches, damn, they're handy!

that's true, but I don't think there will be complaints with this mixer. It's a really good machine.(btw, i don't have shares from behringer )

excaly .. so i pay 4 the bmp counters and the 3rd channel ... but he will never used them,

i have a numark 4 myself and i like it, aldo i don't have any other to compare with

Posted by Tiger777 on May-30-2003 20:07:

I know somebody who does use them. a cdj who started of with vinyl...
If you refuse to get the behringer, i guess the gemini 626 is a good choice.

hi, well..i'm the friend who needs the new mixer

I spoke to DJ Tranz and I think we can make a good deal. The behringer VMX300 will do fine I guess (for the price that i have to pay). Kill switches indeed look handy, but the bpm counters are unnessecary, cause i wan't to hear when i beat match..NOT SEE if it's slightly off

tnx for your help anyway, cause I never heared/looked at Behringers'..

nah.... you should start out with a Rane rotary.....

but seriously.... at least 3 channels are sort of neccessity for me. And those kill switches can sure be fun.... Trust me if you have them you'll use them.

With a 3rd channel you have so many more options.

yeh, the vmx300 is a good price/quality mixer.

yeah but he wanted 2chans so why not to take the djx400?

Posted by Tiger777 on May-31-2003 15:56:

This mixer is alot cheaper... so that means, alot less options.
you don't have the kill-switches and the sounds quality will be less good.
What i also noticed is that the vmx400 doesn't have a cue crossfader... that's a very important missing option.

<--------- Waiting for the DJX700, that mixer is off the chains - who needs a DJM when you got a DJX with more toys to play with and 24bit digital effects. And I believe the retail price from any store, when released, will be $200 (plus S&H).
