Sure, it seems like he would be delighted with a transfer to Liverpool and he is very talented indeed. But.. another striker? Houllier hasnt got a clue imo.

If I was a Liverpool supporter my biggest concern would be him remaining as manager. They need more creativity in midfield and at least a right back, but Houllier keeps spending tons of cash on players most of which they dont really need and of which alot are unproven on the highest level. Also, his footballing philosophy is about as exciting as the Swedish national coaches and that is NOT a compliment.
Liverpool has a lot of potential with its big support and traditon, but with GH at the helm I cant see them reaching the level of clubs like Arsenal, Man Utd or Newcastle.

Damn, Im heartbroken that the season has ended already! And silly season won't be as exciting since the transfer market is almost completely dead compeared to previous years.

Watch out for DIF in the champions league next season! Mark my words

Houllier is the man for the job, he has 6 thropies in 3(notsure) years. his first move for a player this year was right back player steve finnan (irish international). and now he is making moves for a left winger and a new striker as heskey can be sold for a decent slump of money too make the money too buy the players that are needed.

and as for liverpool reaching clubs of arsenal, man utd and newcastle.

Liverpool is the most succesful team in england its those clubs that are now reaching up too liverpool

and one of the reason liverpool aint winning as much as they did before is a simple answer these too names:

1991/94 Graeme Souness
1994/98 Roy Evans

i beat im going too get a heap load of arsenal ,man utd and newcastle supporters too talk about the present for my little comment in the middle there, but what the hell its my opinion

when Dalglish made the shockin reitrement , Liverpool were all but gone, the reds finished second behind Arsenal in the remainiing half of the 90-91 season. Sounness was getting rid of the quality experienced players except rush & barnes. He sold Beardsley to Everton!

Can you believe one player from Liverpool's championship winning side is still playing ie Steve Staunton who is at aston villa.

What Houllier has done, is taken 2 steps forward and then 2 steps backwards. Compare the season that just finished with the 2 seasons before that, and you'll see Houllier got rid of lots of quality and replaced them with unproven players.

How could he let go:

Robbie Fowler (Liverpool's best product of the 90s)
Nicholas Anelka (who was meant to replace Fowler!)
Jari Litmanen <- scores goals when he didnt that much matches, he scored the penalty against Roma, and the 'almost winner' against Leverkeusen in the champions league.
Nick Barmby (we play attacking football)
Stephen Wright (Liverpool's own promising player)

And of course Houllier has to change this dull style of player of hoofing the ball, and return to the continental style of Liverpool which is PASS and MOVE.

IMO Cisse will just be another Diouf, we need Harry Kewell or Damien Duff or maybe both!

I hope Babbel returns to form and stays! and Houllier takes back what he said about him, and Babbel forgives! lol

if you knew a little about cisse you wouldnt compare him too diouf.

he is faster than henry for starters, it been measured in the french national team.

he scores unbelivable goals.

Cisse is bound too fame and glory, no matter wich team he plays for.

get rid of heskey, and replace him with cisse.

and babbels days are over...

Steve Finnan's days are starting once he signs him...

houllier is no fun when the transfer windows open.
rick parry has even said he wants players that would make the fans cheer when they heard theyve been signed...
