Junkie XL - Radio JXL: A Broadcast From The Computer Hell Cabin
Today I bought this 2cd beauty and I must say, by quick listening, I'm very surprised by cd1.
The 3PM cd is like a radio broadcast in the afternoon from 3 pm till 5 pm. Don't expect any progressive/trancy stuff on this cd. People who know Infusion - Legacy (Junkie XL Remix) will hear this again on the track with Infusion called Aquaman. Only this is more like the original version of the song. Overall it's a mix of pop, rock, reggae, house and whatever styles. It works out very well for me. I love Perfect Blue Sky with Robert Smith and also Saffron does a great job on this cd.

The 3AM cd is about the nightlife of radio. It starts off very chill and then builds to the usual quality progressive by Junkie XL. No real highlights for me on this one, except for Breezer and Beauty Never Fades. Overall a very nice 2nd cd.

Is cd2 unmixed? I really hope so.
I thought they were both mixed...
This is a great release, one of my favorites of the year even. Saffron (now of swarm) is a highlight, along with Breezer and Nudge. The only song I dislike is the Access to the Excess with Chuck D. That one I always will skip over.
Sometime soon on the official radiojxl.com, the new 19 minute 7 am mp3 will be added!
hmm is cd2 mixed or unmixed? and how long is beauty that never fades (on cd2)?
The version I have heard was mixed. I would say the 12" Cut of Beauty Never Fades from 3 am is about 13 minutes long... since it is mixed it may be shorter at about 12 minutes. Its long either way.
well i just got the album in today and all i gotta say is GOD DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! best artist album since sasha's i also have downloaded his 7am disc(cost 5 bucks) and all i can say is DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! junkie xl is the future of music.... cant say anything bad about the album.... i hope someday a vinyl edition is luanched.....
Don't Wake Up Policeman is horrid
Otherwise this album is excellent, if a bit of a mish-mash of styles.

Also his special (Matrix) remix of Beauty Never Fades is great. I just love the guitar in that mix. I feel it's even better than the original version
