Where to find Clocks...

Ok Im looking for the Coldplay - Clocks (G&D Remix)... now I know onlydjs.com has it, but i dont know whether its the G&D remix... juno and chemical-records dont have it either... anyone know where I can find it??

Posted by noonboy on May-30-2003 21:59:

it's not a remix.....the so-called remix was just the original played in the background of "gabriel & dresden - i gotta thank" or something.

btw, it sucks....don't buy it! only remix that's relatively good of this is the heaven and earth division

Posted by starglider on May-30-2003 21:59:

It's not released. Last I heard they didn't even do a remix, it's just a Gabriel & Dresden instrumental with Clocks played over it. I'm sure someone else could elaborate for you.

No need to elaborate, I just didnt know... Actually I didnt think it sounded that bad

Posted by tc-fan on May-30-2003 22:39:

who told you the G&D mix of clocks sucks...i heard in the essential mix and its the best mix IMO....too bad aint gonna be released..

Posted by noonboy on May-30-2003 22:43:

i did.....i don't like any of the remixes at all, they just destroy the track!

heaven & earth division mix is almost accepted though....

do i need to repeat myself twice?

noonboy: Tried Coldfunk?

I think the Cosmos remix is best.

And just so everyone is clear, Gabriel & Dresden didn't remix Clocks. They made a bootleg with it and I Gotta Thank as they do with many other songs...

but if you do want to buy that song try these two links...

www.ultimix.com or www.ergmusic.com;)

Also won't be released. And Btw I'm 100% sure that clocks in the Essential mix isn't a real remix. There is somewhere a thread where Dave Dresden himself replied that this was the original clocks played over another tune.

omg... heaven and the earth division remix.

no they don't

i have to say i think clocks is coldplays best work to date, but i think picottos mix is really good and in no way bastardises the original.

and i'm not just saying that because he's my favourite dj/producer

Posted by JPJH on Jun-05-2003 12:44:

there is a bootleg floating around somewhere..and imo G & D remix was one of the better remixes out of the rest..

Wiv ya 100% on this one. Clocks remixes suck. If fact, in the words of the god-like Homer Simpson, they're the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked!!

what the fuck r u talking about. u fuckin suck. cosmos mix is the best. it vomits, shits, pisses, spits all over the other cheesey mother fuckin mixes

Posted by Ekstasis on Jun-06-2003 01:23:

I have been listening to the Clokx - Clocks bootleg constantly since I got it earlier this week.

Posted by Neuro'99 on Jun-06-2003 01:56:

Gabriel & Dreseden's bootleg of this is immense. I love it!! Highlight of first hour of their Essential Mix, at least. It literally added to the original, in it not changing the original at all but combining it with a perfect complementary bassline, it definately is underrated imo. nevermind, the main thing imo is that I like it

Posted by T. Adams on Jun-06-2003 03:42:

I think everyone could see the onslaught of remixes for this tune coming, and most are horrid in my opinion. But the Cosmos remix is fcuking class...sick bassline and effects that only the Jedi could do himself. As for the rest, god make them stop.

Well thats me told. How dare I even think about commenting on a song. Its shameful, simply shameful. Still, I might just go away and think about what i've done. You never know, I might even listen to this "Cosmos Mix" that will quite obviously change my whole perception of life. Here's to hope...

(In no way was any insult to anyones intelligence intended! )

Any word on the marco v remix of this track? by far the best remix of it IMO.

Posted by noonboy on Jun-07-2003 11:11:

the marco v remix...

hmm.....can't say much....standard marco beat with original clocks sampled in???? gives me rofl everytime cuz it doesn't fit at all!

1....2....3.....i don't like it!!!

and btw, that cloxx thing....wtf is that????
