hmm... I'm not sure what U were trying to achieve here.

The beginning percussion sounded ok but then the melody came in.
its to weird for me,

Sorry

I'll be frank, it's awful. Sorry. You need to have more structure in your melodies, and they need to progress smoothly through different chord patterns. Yours sounds like random notes.

Hope this helps.

Dunno

it's too fast - and there are kinda too many notes going on

made me feel a bit funny listening to it - sorry

its really my first attempt at a melody and i suck. thanks for being frank and opinionated, thats what i want, no need to be sorry- i thought it was pretty good i wont post any more crap like this for a long time, i promise =p

hmm...well, at least i can say that most of the notes in your lead are in the same key, except in the end. Yeah, keep at it man. I like the effect in the begining!

Hey man - Don't worry - it may be bad now but you'll get better.

I'd say immediate advice - it sounds just like you were trying to do one of those melodies thats hidden inside a line that moves every 16th note.... What you have to do first, is do that simple melody FIRST, like where theres maybe 2-4 16th's between each note - the kind of melody you'd hear in rock or something.... THEN, after you have a simple melody you like, you fill in all the holes with the root note of the chord you're currently working in....THen you can get adventurous and like if theres 2 holes that you both filled in with the root, make the second one the next note in the scale.

Also add some reverb and 2 step delay to the leads maybe. Hey I'm interested in conveying the moving line concept to you - let me know if you want help.

I'd like to add also: this was very similar to the sorta stuff I was first producing 3 years ago.. check out some my productions in this forum... you can see how I've improved... so do not give up.

Hey mate

Never give up trying I'd say, even if this is bad. You're lucky you got so many nice people here (instead of maybe trance.nu, where there happen to be lots of shout offs). The first time I posted a track in here, I got kind of set off too (I won't tell names, but it was kind of frank as well). I didn't stop trying either

Cheers,
LW
