Movie: Equilibrium (2002)

jsut watched this movie...its a MUST WATCH...

heres teh plot..taken off imdb:

In a futuristic world, a strict regime has eliminated war by suppressing emotions: books, art and music are strictly forbidden and feeling is a crime punishable by death. Clerick John Preston (Bale) is a top ranking government agent responsible for destroying those who resist the rules. When he misses a dose of Prozium, a mind-altering drug that hinders emotion, Preston, who has been trained to enforce the strict laws of the new regime, suddenly becomes the only person capable of overthrowing it.

This movie looked more or less low budget, but some of the fighting scenes are off the hook - very technical. The plot is pretty interesting too...the movie's slogan is "Forget the Matrix"

well thats the reason why my sister rented it in the first place..i dont think i wouldve seen it otherwise..lol

NOTE: Do not, I repeat, do NOT watch this movie if you have seen Malibu's Most Wanted recently....I did, and everything just felt wrong, really really wrong.

I kept expecting to hear "Dont be hatin'!" from Christian Bale, and thats about as wrong as it can get.

Isn't Sean Bean in this? (Boromir from Fellowship of the Ring) I heard he dies in the first 5 minutes!! He's one of my favourite actors, but never gets fucking starring parts!

oopsy....I only knew this because I read Roger Ebert's review and it was stated in a few other reviews as well. I guess that's why Bean isn't on the cover.

had the pre-rls dvd rip long time ago. Hmm...will definitely check it out.
