Tiesto's interview was true :)

One of our TAs (dj2kta) handed him the Yahel & Eyal Barkan - Voyage vinyl and he played it

Was nice to hear live.

THANK YOU TIESTO!!!!

I told my cousin to ask Tiesto at the Virginmegastore signing if he would play Voyage if I brought it. He said yes and the rest is history. I got up front and waved it and he smiled and signaled a dude to get it. Two songs later it was on. It was the best moment that I've ever had in a club. It was completely awesome. I only wish he would have signed it. Forgot to attach a marker to it.

Thanks to djaracebo for throwing up the idea of bringing classics, and uwm for the thread. Glad you enjoyed it too.

Can't wait until Friday. Tiesto in San Francisco. WHOO WHOO!

Playing at the Mezzanine @ The Mint ... I think it's a new place, and happy...FINALLY a big DJ playing somewhere other than 1015 Folsom here.

hehehe
something like this happened in Australia as well .. can't remember the exact details, but one of the AUTAs gave a copy of Gouryella - Gouryella to Ferry Corsten to sign, and instead he spun it as his encore track

Posted by Floorfiller on Jun-02-2003 14:24:

i guess its cool that he played on of your copies of a song, but really...doesn't he already have a copy of voyage?? why doesn't he just play his own??

cuz he's on tour in the US, do you expect him to bring over every record he has played throughout his career>?

can't wait to see him at a beach in Puerto Rico July 5

Posted by DaveSZ on Jun-02-2003 16:57:

He's in puerto ricO?? After seeing him again, I feel like I'd go to even greater lengths now...

How long will be his set?

yep, it's been confirmed, even if it's not in the bookings site yet. Miami-July 4, PR-July 5.

The party in PR is gonna be off the hook, outdoor party in the beautiful caribbean sea . i've been to that beach and it's crazy, you can practically dance and listen to the music from the water. not to mention all the puerto rican girls that will be there.

i don't know how long his set is gonna be, but last time he came he spun for 4 hours, 2 hours longer than what he was supposed to, just because he loved the crowd.

PR also gets PvD in a couple of weeks, but that's in a club.

it's pretty cheap to fly there now, and it's not really that far either (2 1/2 hrs. from Miami). If anyone is interested try JetBlue.

Posted by DaveSZ on Jun-02-2003 17:32:

Jet blue eh?? Never heard of it. I live in AUstin TX, and not Miami.....

I'm going to miss that free party with TIjs and markus shulz, and edgar v.
