Unhappy Help a TA see Tiesto

I really, really, REALLY want to go see Tiesto play at The Joint in Edmonton on Thursday, June 5th, but sadly, I'm only 17, and everyone has to be 18 or older to attend. So I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I could get in?

Thanks to anyone who offers their ideas/suggestions.

That does sound like a good idea, but a couple of problems become present:

  1. I can only speak English, and what I do know of foreign languages is craptastic, at best
    and....
  2. I'm not seeing anyone at the moment, and none of my friends (those that would actually want to go see Tiesto ) can speak foreign languages either

But yeah, thanks for the idea anyways.

And regarding the fake ID: I've asked around at my school, but nobody knows anybody that makes them, or has one of their own.

international student ID
get it at travel cuts if you are a full time student
go to travelcuts.ca for locations (i think its .ca, if not .com)
you can lie about your age on the application form, they dont check.

2 yrs ago, my friend and i went to see tiesto. she didnt have ID but she was 19 so she got that card. the bouncer was a bit of an ass cause they want to see BC ID, but he let her in cause it wasnt a regular $5 night, tickets were $30.

you can get that card and at the door lie that you're form the the UK or something, if you can fake an accent, or australia. make sure you go with a friend who's a few yrs over 19 if you can, looks better.

good luck!

Now that sounds like a good idea

I don't know if I would be able to acquire one of those in time, but it does sound like something worth trying, thanks for the suggestion

just so you know, not all clubs accept those
i dont know about vancouver clubs anymore, at one time, some accepted those some didnt. now the clubs here require 2 pieces of ID, bank card and social insurance number are accepted

Thumbs up Thanks

apri_peel , djkeenetik , and wienerschnitzel: thanks for the suggestions. It's about 6 hours from the time the concert is supposed to start, and I still haven't found a way in yet but thanks for taking the time to try and help me out.

And to anyone who is going to the concert later tonight: I really hate asking this, but do you think you could "bootleg" the concert (or whatever it's called) and PM me sometime afterwards? I'd really appreciate it if you could. Thanks.

you mean record it?
i wouldnt really recommend it, the quality first of all will not be good, second, that person would have to sit in with a recorder through the whole set. the best thing is to just dl one of tiesto's sets and listen to that, he plays same kind of stuff everywhere, for the most part.

dont worry, there's always the next time. except next time you'll be prepared. i can guarantee you tiesto will return nex year.
