mixer help
hey everybody i'm posting this for a friend who hasn't got his account activated yet so here it is
hi everyone,
im going to be getting into mixing soon and want to find a good mixer to use. I will be using a dual cd player. My question(s) are that i need to find a good mixer. I will soon be buying a sequencer (emu xl-7) and need (i think) more than 2 channels so than i can add this piece of equipment into the mix. Does this mean i need at least a 3 channel mixer? Or can i use a 2 channel mixer? One more question, what is the pfl function in this mixer? http://www.djmart.com/bepromidj.html And finnally, why does this mixer have six inputs with different names (auxillary, line, etc.) if its only 2 channels?http://www.new-line.nl/webshop/view.asp?i=475 Thanks in advance for your help and understanding.
p.s. he wants to buy a Gemini PMX1100 so yeah, opinions on that

p.p.s. "if i win the lottery im not spending more than a 100 on a mixer"
plz flame him for spending $700 on a dual cd player, and $500 on some sampler, and refusing to NOT SKIMP on the central part of the system, the mixer
I was too tired to flame him so i just let it go.
p.p.p.s. he's getting the boss sp505 for sampling...i still don't fully understand what he's trying to do, maybe he'll clarify when his account gets activated.
edit: got a reply from him, he wants to add drum beats and clips from other songs and stuff to the mix in real time with the sampler.
p.p.p.p.s. purple monkey dishwasher
sorry; bored.
im actually liking the behringer dx626 pro, 3 channels and its a great mixer.

stay away from anything gemini there not bad for usability but the parts break easy and they just dont feel quality to use at all not to me anyway
I think you better stay away from ADJ...
Dont go for the ADJ Q-2221/SX... You'll regret it if you buy this one.
For 40's more, you have a behringer VMX300
