it's been raining for a month

i am fucking sick of it. i dont know about you all, but the spring here has sucked. it feels like it is going to rain through summer and stay cold and nasty and skip ahead to fall.

MAKE IT STOP!!! please, do your anti-rain dance for me....

It's well hot here (well, by Scottish standards anyway). Probably means that we'll get a thunderstorm later though...

Posted by GrimReaper on Jun-04-2003 13:51:

I again wish it would rain here! It has been quite dry for so fuukin long, only some minor raindrops have fallen but not enough to make summer really start.

i think the weather's playing a joke on us

here in boston the 2001-2002 winter was the warmest winter ever - we barely had any snow and only 5 (!!!!) or so days where the temperature was below freezing. and then the summer was extremely hot, with 90-95 degree weather holding up for weeks at a time with no rain

the 2002-2003 winter was the exact opposite - EXTREMELY freezing. and it just kept snowing and snowing and snowing (everyone remember that 2+ feet snowstorm?)

and now it won't stop raining here either. i'd look at the forecast, and they'd have rain for 6 days in a row... talk about new england weather. and you know how many times we had a day where it was snowing and the next day it was 70 degrees? jeez...

everyone remember this?:

Posted by butterfly on Jun-04-2003 14:32:

the blue in that picture is really pretty. and yes, this winter sucked more than this spring.

with the exception of the foot of snow that got dumped on us in april.

jesus christ you post a lot butterfly. I sometimes feel bad for how much time i spend on TA at work, but then i think, "well, at least i'm not as bad as her"!

not that it's a bad thing, just an observation.

yeah... i've actually cut back quite a lot. see, i was posting on this other board like 100 times a day. but my ex bf and his new gf infiltrated it and they piss me off so i thought i'd come spend my day with you lovely TAs. glad to make you feel good about your postwhoring, though/. in all honesty, i've actually been MORE productive at work lately...

I feel for you... Atlanta had tornado thunder showers for 2 weeks. At one point the rain was so bad I couldnt' see the rroad I was driving on and ran over a spike strip or something. Had to replace all 4 tires...

lol, i've been less, i've been spending TOO much time here, i gotta cut down. And i only post in 3 forums, this one, the DJ booth, and the politics area, i hardly ever go into music discussion, i've seen enough "who's your favorite DJ" threads to last a lifetime.

what do you do?

was that in like the beginnign of may? i went to my friend's wedding in virginia, and there was a tornado the day of the rehersal, and hail broke half the windows in the church and there was glass all over the place. lightning blew up a tree in her backyard. it was chaotic...

i am a chemical engineer for a healthcare company. right now i do stuff to support manufacturing. like today i might do some work with the costs of some equipment we use.

but as for cutting down... i have a bit of a problem. on one board i have 2700 posts, another 4000, and this one is around 2500 i think (hard to say cause i post in here most). in the last year. then tehre are a few i dont post on quite so much. i am actually working with my therapist to get myself to cut back, and i have, a bit.

Oi! I'm a "worker" as well you know. And I consider myself to be a kinda regular poster.

Don't forget me!

Yes it was. In fact it was on May 5th because I was driving back from a Mexican restaurant celebrating Cinco de Mayo. It kept on raining and raining but now it's all good.

On the bright side as least the reservoirs are filling.

And I "work" too. -- Software engineer.

Yeah, they got me chained up, smashing up some big rocks...

Actually, it's meant to be boring programming work; but the allure of TA is too much.

Yea no kidding, I have no time in the day to post anywhere more than the chillout and polit forum. The music forum has gotten somewhat lame with all the posts like "what do you guys think about this song?" etc. Some of my coworkers already make fun of me because they always see the black color scheme of tranceaddict on my computer

Yeah... Black = Definitely nothing to do with work. Everyone knows work is white.

one of the board i post on actually has to option of choosing whatever color scheme you want. but i think the black is easier to look at.

Posted by JohnSmith on Jun-04-2003 15:41:

lol, that's funny, there are a lot of programmers doing boring coding work here.

as for the black, i realized something the other day, my monitor faces into a corner, so nobody can really see my screen, unless they walk right by my desk that is. and my boss does just that, so sometimes i switch back to the white background of MS InterDev.

funny thing is, since it's dark in here, the wall behind me changes from a dim gray to a bright white when i do that, from the change in background color from my huge ass monitor! so everytime my boss walks by, theres a big obvious color change behind me..

*sigh* i should be working.
