I don't think I've ever actually figured out what Hardstyle is. Is "Reloop - Important (Kaylab Mix)" or "Tayfun - Mein Traum" considered Hardstyle? Is Hardstyle closer to hard house or hard trance?

Closer to Hardtrance.

those tracks are both hard trance. i dont follow hardstyle as closely as some people on this board, but i certainly appreciate it.

different people like different genre

i like to finish up my hardtrance set
nice and hard
so hardstyle is good once in awhile..

Well, lets say u are really upset and angry and want to listen to some good "get your aggresions out" music.
Do u put on System F- Out of the Blue?
Maybe u do but I would definitly put on some Hardstyle or Hardcore.
So I would say it has alot of emotion and feeling, just not the happy kind of feeling.

With Hard Trance and Hard House tracks, I either really like the track or I really hate it, so it's probably going to be the same for me with hardstyle. I'll need to explore some more of the genre.

I've been to EarthQuake, Zany, Pavo, Prophet and Melani di Tria were spinning.. They 0wned....

Also have been at a Technoboy session: great also.

this mix was mixed early JAN this year
the tracks are fairly old
thats about right 1 year old
