The Official How Much Tiesto Rocked Commodore Thread

holee shit, that was a sweet show
sweet tracks, great vibe, 2 and a half hours of tiesto, mmmmmmmmm mmmmmmm
except for the extremelly annoying gold club strippers that were in everybody's face, UGH, how i wanted to throw a water bottle at them.

oh yes, some of us decided we wanted to be a bunch of crazy groupies and waited for tiesto outside the back door after the show. took some pictures with his limo driver. waited for a bit, and then the GOD came out we took a couple of pictures with him too. he's tall hehe. so that was cool.

some of the tracks he played:
magik journey intro
jxl - blue pill red pill
midway - inca
motorcycle - as the rush comes (demo mix)
leama - requiem for a dream (leama dream mix)
conjure one - tears from the moon (isos remix)
tiesto - obsession (frank biazzi remix)* Kim, i think this is the part where tiesto droped some break beats
tiesto - sparkles -- encore
tiesto - flight 643
tiesto ft skin - ten vs faithfulness
darren tate and jono grant - let the light shine in
before this one, there was a track that sounded a lot like it but wasnt it
tiesto - nyana
ton t.b. - electronic malfunction
gtr - mistral -- encore
solid globe - north pole or pos - remember i mix the two up, dont ask me why
i think i heard ar52 - hibernation
william orbit - adagio for strings (tiesto re-make) -- encore
dave gahan - dirty sticky floors (jxl remix)
i think i heard mike - turn the lights off
ambush - acapulco

cant think of anything else, a few tracks that i've never heard before.

overall, i would say the set was rather hard at times, fck'ed those dancers right up cause they couldnt follow the beat hehehehe. the set was amazing i thought. great crowd interaction too. there were a few transitions that were kinda weird to the ear, other than that, tiesto was great!

btw, i still have shit load of film in my camera, i'll save it for ferry and then i'll have pictures from sasha, tiesto and ferry all together.

i also emailed gold club about their fckin strippers. if you did not like them, email them too [email protected]

i didn't think he played these

midway - inca
tiesto - nyana
tiesto - obsession (frank biazzi remix)

and it was the sweeping strings remix not the exclusive demo.

again, that was definitely one of the best i've seen of him....
anyone know what happened there when the technician had to look at the equipment? i was worried something was gonna go bad...hehe..
lucky it didn't...

Posted by apri_peel on Jun-08-2003 20:06:

i think he played a remix of nyana but he definately played it, and the other two as well. i know the frank biazzi remix of obsession like the back of my hand cause i've been trying to find out what the track was for months until recently

i dont know what happened with the equipment actually. they had to replace a table. i dont think tiesto was happy with that hehe

Posted by Mark on Jun-08-2003 20:11:

haha no, you can easily tell he was upset....
haha hand on his hip looking unimpressed...
lol

Posted by j_spot on Jun-08-2003 20:14:

man....if I saw that set(judging from the list) I would have been SOOO happy with tiesto.
damn him all to hell.

Posted by sothis on Jun-08-2003 20:30:

ok now that im sober ill ask.. elena, what was the breaks song?!

this set was DEFINITELY different than the seattle show. what can i say tho? this is my 4th time seeing him at the commodore, and he never fails to impress up there. bangin/uplifting/AMAZING set.

he did play a lot of hard stuff, but not NEARLY as much as he played it in seattle (in seattle it was like 95% hard... in van. it was like, 25% hard). after that amazing song with the breaks came on, everything after that was just pure quality. i was tired so i was sitting in a table, but all i could do is bow my head and close my eyes, and feel the music. just so great.. so so great

the strippers were fucking nasty. this is the first time ive ever seen a gold club event (or any event at the commodore) which had them. not only were they skanky, but they were OLD... they looked like 45 year old trolls with too much makeup on. pseudo lesbian shit while badass trance is playing? how incredibly tacky and disgusting. i would have much rather seen a few partykids who were all about the music, up there showing their love for tiesto's set... than some paid wannabee-stripper whore-looking old women who did nothing but degrade the quality of the music, and the show in general.

*goes to email gold club*

What a great night!
The Set was awesome, the vibe was incredible.

Are you sure he played Sparkles though? I'm pretty sure he didn't play that...

The Dave Gahan, Motorcycle and Jono Grant tracks blew the place away - really incredible.

It was also good meeting all the TAs again. Great going out with a group of people who enjoy (and know) the music so much.

Ferry - 1.5 weeks!!!!

Posted by .montecarlo. on Jun-08-2003 21:28:

yep, tiesto was impressive once again

the tracks were awsome overall... but i was so happy to hear flight 643, and he even did the airplane thing with his arms like in the video!

sorry i didn't get to chill with you guys a bit more, but i was in such a bad mood when i finally got in i just wanted to pound back a bunch of liquor lol.

the encore seemed like half an hour to me, maybe twenty minutes... anyway, good times!

ps. it definitely was frank biazzi mix.. i went crazy on that song!

i kind of enjoyed the dancers

The last two tracks that he played before the encore where:

Electric Deluxe - Electric Deluxe
Igor S - Boomerang

I loved the remix of William Orbit's - Agigio for Stings.....killer track!

Tiesto rocked Commodore again!!!

A great set and one of the best Tiesto show at the Commodore that for sure. Great tracks selections as I couldn't stop dancing. The vibe was awesome and Tiesto was enjoying it. Well Ferry next up hope to see you all at Cargo club.

this was played right after he cut off flight 643 right? i thought it might have been the new push but then i also thought it was mike - turn the lights off.
