Dancing Dude Darude - Next to You <---- WHOAAAA !

Yikes.. What a quality piece of work.. Tiesto played this in recent Dance Department set and it caught my ear instantly. Banging energy track! Nice stuff from someone I don't usually associate nice stuff with..

Posted by musicaddict on Jun-09-2003 17:44:

yeah i agreed. Darudes new album has definately changed style...no more "sandstorm"

Posted by allstar on Jun-09-2003 17:49:

Was A thread about this a while back :P

Yes Darude now officially rocks, I suggest you check out his album "Rush"

Posted by noikeee on Jun-09-2003 18:14:

one year ago if tiesto played a darude tune, it would generate a 30 page thread with flames

but it's all good now

Bittersweet!! A breathtaking track!

Is his new album sold in U.S. stores such as FYE or Sam Goody? I heard of a lot of good songs from it (Music, Serendipity, etc.) and I'd like to take a look.

man, darude is getting better (just admit it people, sandstorm was a good track until it got played so many times on the radio that it just made everyone sick)

the only problem is that following the sandstorm's fame, everyone might play these new tracks to death too

Posted by gibbo on Jun-09-2003 20:30:

yeh the darude album is way better than anyone could have hoped it would be i get the feeling everyone would have expected an album full of sandstorm album rip-offs and instead its all new quite innovative stuff from darude

Posted by skip on Jun-09-2003 20:40:

i think this tune is ok, nothing more though! it's a bit dull IMO as is almost the whole new album!

IMO the best production involving darude is:
barcode brothers - dooh dooh (darude vs. js16 remix)

way better than this new stuff which like i said before is a bit boring run-of-the-mill trance!

Smiley DJ

Next to You rocks, but I still listen to Sandstorm. Never get tired of that track. I need to check out the rest of the tracks on the album.

ye i like the track ... i also enjoyed his previous release... Darude - Music.

but will he ever escape his "sandstorm" identity? meh maybe... but does he really want to?

Posted by djsoze on Jun-10-2003 02:14:

awesome track, especially the remix

Posted by LiquidX on Jun-10-2003 02:18:

Yes, his new album is one of the bests so far that I've heard from a producer/artist this year.

Obviously far away from these forums

Posted by bluelimitd on Jun-10-2003 09:45:

ill have to check it out!

Posted by smallSHEEP on Jun-10-2003 11:26:

I do like this tune - probably not as much as music though. The best bit is the 'man with no name' style synths about half way though.

Posted by Mr.Mystery on Jun-10-2003 13:36:

The tracks work when played one by one but the album itself is quite boring - all the tracks pretty much follow the same pattern and it gets pretty tiresome after a while.

Ranta, Music, Next to You, Serendipity and Bitter Sweet still kick ass, tho...
