WHY the music STOPS for Tiesto

OK guys just incase u didnt know or realise, the music stopped like twice that nite at the Commodore...at first i thought WTF whats he doin...
Then i realise that the turntable to our left (his right) was busted...the needle kept slipping and a techy had to fiddle around with it for ages...
So mean while he was using the CDJ-5000 they kidly provided...he played about 4 tracks on CD i think, cant remeber which tracks though, I think it was tracks people couldnt ID, maybe new ones???
Anywayz they took the turntable away and replaced it with another and it was still playin up...
I say Tiesto get pretty pissed off at the end and threw his headphones down (not over hard) and then he came back for the encore

They had a similar problem during the PDX show with the mixer....techies messed around with one of the equalizer knobs or what not for about 20 minutes during the first set...and once again when Tiesto was spinning...no stops in music with the mixer prob, but definately drew the attention of those on and around the stage?

Are equipment problems this common? Minor they may be...

keen... had such a good time at the show with you! tiesto made my head spin and jez and i are in the works of creating the TIESTO REDEMPTION thread. good luck with your trip to amsterdam you lucky bastard and give us a call if you come out to alberta!

when the tech guy came to replace the table, tiesto was playing skin - faithfulness over the beat from tiesto - ten. that duo is so awesome. saw skin do live vocals to that at TMF awards, gave me goosebumps, she's got such an amazing voice.

Definately will do, u guys help me have an awesome nite, definately one of the best nites i have had in Vancouver in my one month stint!!!

you know, when Tiesto was here last july, the TT was so bad they had to replace it as well...only they replaced it with a NUMARK!(not the TTX)
I forget what song it was(one of his productions) but the needle was skipping so bad, that he actually booted the whole table that it was set up on.

It was funny to watch(somebody kicking a DJ stand) but not nice to hear.

J spot, i remeber that it was freakin hilarious, I remeber him looking at someone on stage behind him and just shrugging hahah, the way the weather was that night im surprised the thing wasnt skipping more often due to all that crazy dust from the wind

Yeah he seems to have bad luck with that kinda thing for some reason.....

The first time I saw him in 2001, he was jumping around so much that he bumped the needle of the record...
