Thumbs down The latest G&D remixes i have heard.

Deborah Cox - Play you'r part (G&D remix)

Annie Lennox - Pavement Cracks (G&D remix)

What the hell ???? These two are so damn ugly ... I cant believe they were remixed by the legendary G&D. Very poor, remminds me of pop shiat

^ indeed.
it may sound poppy, because it is a mix of a pop song,
annie lennox - former vocalist of the Eurythmics.

the remix, though,
has the G&D signature

that's even comparable to Mindcircus

Give them a few more liistens before you form your opinion. I thought pavement cracks was wierd but i love it now

Posted by webbie on Jun-12-2003 08:44:

Good!

This is what is needed, a split in the path that shows that G&D
is multifaced and has more interests in music then the wide array.

Word.

Sometimes when you first hear a track, you think, "How much does this suck?"

But then you hear it enough, and it grows on ya....

Posted by [mart] on Jun-12-2003 09:19:

If they bumped out identical sounding remixes all of the time you'd be moaning about that too. Diversification is a GOOD thing.

Posted by Slade on Jun-12-2003 10:02:

G&D need a little thing called consistency, which they don't have at the moment

Posted by Ding Chavez on Jun-12-2003 10:44:

Wow you're amazing. In one thread you whine old anthems are has beens and in this thread you claim artists need some more consistency and produce the same sound over and over...

Be happy there are artists willing to pick up a tune for an out of the ordinary remix. Keeps the music entertaining.

Posted by Slade on Jun-12-2003 10:54:

nice pic geek, but if u had a clue, you'd realise that consistency is not making the same tunes over & over, its making GOOD tunes repeatidly, which is what G&D are not doing at the moment IMO

sorry to point out the obvious... weinor

As always the resident AUTA cynic spreads the love.

every song that G & D produce isnt going to win the hearts of everyone..im tired of hearing people whine about certain songs..i mean its not like G & D sit here and read these posts..so who are we whining to anywayz..bottom line every producer has there good and bad days just like us ordinary people..what makes a GREAT producer/dj is a strong comeback..

u love it now coz ur mind is brainwashed by their tunes...perosnally i feel that if G&D dontchange tihngs a bit ,,their style is gonna get stale....it was a fresh change when beauful tihngs and motorcycle came out but i havent liked a single remix theyve done of mainstream pop tunes....

the best G & D remix ever is........

Posted by Konijn on Jun-12-2003 15:36:

it's impossible for every single release to blow your hair back, but at the very least they make things interesting

It's Fischerspooner - The 15th

Their remixes of Deborah Cox and Annie Lennox are great IMO. I just love their style and with these two remixes they sure showed why they are my favourite producers.
