Audioplacid?

Anyone know who's behind this quality project? I've got quite a few tunes from them and everything I've heard has been pretty impressive. The tunes have like an older style trance sound to them, which is nice to hear. Also, does anyone have a list of what years their songs released? All of the MP3s I have don't have any date on them

check out "exemption" as well, probably his best trance production to date (except for the vocals during the break).. comes with a great 'lightworks remix'!

Audioplacid is currently Matthias Herbst, and I think he currently works with his friend Dave also..

Ages ago, I used to be part of a community called mix-charts.de (which started out as dance eJay mixes) and gradually progressed. I met "Mod-" (one of his other aliases) there. He originally set up Audioplacid with his friend "Nephex" but I think he eventually moved away from trance, leaving just Mod with the project. Used to speak to Mod loads on ICQ, he taught me loads of stuff, introduced me to Fruityloops and Reason (this was ages ago hehe). Moonflight was one of his first productions under the Audioplacid alias, and it was wicked... I loved it. I even remixed it.. if you look on his audioplacid mp3.com site, you'll notice there's a "Protosphere Remix". That was one of my early Reason productions, I've improved alot since then

I haven't spoken to Mod recently, I e-mailed him not long ago so I'm not sure how things are going. Other amazing Audioplacid tracks were Mas Alla Del Cielo, Nevada, Pray To Heaven... There were loads.

I may contact him again soon, may notify him of this thread

And yes, he's only 17.

One of the most impressive (former?) mp3.com artists... I ocassionally chat with him on ICQ, I've met him through his friend Dave AKA Coldwater, which I've ran into a while back...

Ap it's realy talented ....i think one of the more young talented guys around ...I used to talk to him realy often on icq ...but recently it's a lot that i don't speak with him...anyway he gived to me a lot of trick to use on reason ...
His jobs are realy impressive ...great melodies and beats ....
I like a lot one of his last track made ....Watch the sunrise(pure uplfiting trance)and also nightexpress ....

Sorry for bringing back an old topic from the dead, but I just had too. This guy is EXTREMELY talented and has been my favourite DJ for a few months now. I got 24 trance tracks by him(26 if I count his two E-Nature remixes of "With Love"). Every single one of these tunes are suberb. I find myself checking his http://www.audioplacid.de site many times a day just waiting for new tracks. Been waiting for a good month or more for a new track, guessing he might be on holidays? In any case, I'm really looking forward to more tunes from him.
