Dancing Dude

OHH my god this rocks, i listened to it 20 times in a row it had me dancing like this

I really enjoyed this. You should work on it a bit more to get it perfected. When I mean working on, I mean mastering and such..

You got something good going here. I like it.

downloading it right now and getting my ears ready

Posted by phasedout on Jun-15-2003 04:11:

sounds pretty professional, yeah just master it and you'll be good, theres that one sample in there that sounds like its being overwhelmed by everything else but other than that there is nothing i can hear that is wrong. good job man!

Sounds great, has massive potential, keep building on it.

try again
i was in the middle of uploading a new version

percussion is nice, although i hate the snare drum,
the pad line seems a bit not in place, (changes its notes on weird locations)
the piano line is nice but a bit too dirty (a really tiny bit)
and then the beat comes back but again,,, not in "correct" timing.

other then that.......i dunnow, nice track

(i hope i wasnt too harsh)

blair, this song rocks, get me an intro version

Posted by Icone on Jun-16-2003 09:00:

nice atmospheric track i'd say. i'd choose a different piano sample though, and different kick. the pads are really nice (maybe a bit more stereo and warmth)!

cheers,
LW

updated version now

Posted by hangover on Jun-19-2003 19:01:

Incredible!!!

Only minor criticism: the piano like lead sample, i wish it would have more spatial dispersion, it sounds a little dead in the middle

Posted by hangover on Jun-19-2003 19:02:

Also the synths come in from the middle, and it gets kind of crowded in there

Posted by wookieslut on Jun-20-2003 01:50:

im really glad you enjoyed it, but can you tell me how to make it spacially dispersed and how are the synths empty in the middle? i dont quite understand these techniques. thanks alot man

Posted by hangover on Jun-20-2003 10:15:

I've listened now to the 3rd version, and I see the synths are much better. What I meant with the lead sample is to make it less mono. Try adding a small delay on one of the stereo channels of the sample to make it wider, or alternatively move the echoes a little to the left or right. Perhaps even vibrate it continuously left and right.
Know what I mean?
