Production vs DJ-ing
What is the difference?
Okay, I'm not good in explaining things but here goes...
DJing is when you use 2 decks (turntables) and you play your music/mixes, which is on vinyls, out to the public. It can be at a smaller party, big ass rave, or just a club.
Producing is when you actually got to a studio to create a track. You put all your creativity to create good bassline, melody, transitions and all that other neat stuff. Producing, when you think about it, comes before DJing because you have to have tracks to play on your decks. The only way you get the tracks is if you go to a studio, produce them, make them in vinyl, and then mix the shit out of them on you decks.
Or you just go to a vinyl store buy some vinyls from your favorite DJs who 'produced' those tracks, and then you mix the shit out of them.

DJ's spin productions on turntables

So if u're a better producer means u have better songs?

producing: making your own tracks, in the studio
remixing: making a different version of an already existing track, made normally by someone else, in the studio
dj'ing: mixing several tracks (that were produced first in the studio) with turntables or cd decks, usually for a public

wut do ya guys think about djing n produce. which 1 is better..???
1.I shall spin and produce at same time .
2.Spin first,then produce.
3.produce first,then spin.
For me Productions is what counts. DJ ing is great but when you produce it really shows how much you love the game and also ultimately defines your style. I was'nt an Armin fan until I heard his new album(76)..
its good when u dj and produce tunes at the same time! esp dropping your own tune in a club and see ppl go nuts with your masterpiece! what a cool thing
Being good at one, doesn't mean you're good at the other.
thxs for ya guys's opinion, but i affraid get 2 things start mess all things, but i 'm very sure now if anyone wanna be a successful dj in this world, they must good on djing also produce some good traxx, right?
