Calgary Roadtrip-from Van

the Idea was raised in another thread, and I am making a thread dedicated to convincing a bunch of you to come to calgary for the weekend.

reasons not to come
you will need 3, maybe 4 days off work(if you drive)
You would miss Breath the day earlier.

Reasons to come
Armin and BBB
Stampede Week
*this includes, Beef on a Bun, Mini Donuts and other cheezy yet still fun western events, free pancakes, bacon, Sausage ever day of the week. OJ as well.*
Its a Roadtrip.
Have hella fun.
J00F if you come out for Friday night as well(instead of just sunday)

ps tix might be free for this party...depends on how things play out. It wont sell out, the only time the beer tent has sold out was Snoop Dogg concert, and even then you could get in @ the door for $30.

which weekend is this?

i'd like to go, but that would require at least a couple hundred and i'm kinda saving up for a trip to see my bf

whats the price to see armin? he's pretty much the only one i'm interested in

stampede is July 4-13.

Tix for armin will be in the $20-30 range I expect, but COULD END UP being free, tho with the apparent move of Nick Warren from Calgary to Edmonton, that could be dead.*if there are 2 shows, both corporate, they often flood the market with free passes to boost attendance to their show*

Hotels will be pricey that week..ill let you know that, but I do have hookups for cheap rooms(like staff discount $30 a night)
dunno if I can do that stampede week tho.

i'll ask my friends if they want to go on a road trip and i'll get back to you on this one

given my cuurent situation with Twisted,,, I think I'll be skipping the show with Fleming (although it means I'll miss Solar Stone). Anyways... Fleming + Armin= can't get bmuch better than,,, sorry solar stone.

I'm thinking a nice SUV rental would be the way to go.

Awww. I wish. Armin is killer. Saving for travel though. 6 months in australia possibly.

i do have a car now (albiet a tercel)...and i need to visit friends in revelstoke on the way up/back....but let me run this by few people.

but for real, if your saying JooF is also in town then damn straight!!! could leave thursday noonish, go to cowboys that night, hit up J00f on friday night, do stampede saturday, armin and bbb on sunday..then try to get back tuesday-ish.......hmmmmm

however, can we all crash in your basement..hehe

non smoking is good
ive got nothing against most smokers, but being in a small club real close to someone who's smoking has real bad effects on how your clothes and your hair smells afterwards, even after you wash your hair it stinks for 2 days

anyhow, i'm trying to sort out a place to stay in calgary, might be able to have a few TAs stay there so maybe, just maybe i shall be making it out to see Armin's fine fine behind

its not a small club

it a parking lot
with a tent overhead.(beer garden stampede style)
you could fit I dunno 2000 people in there, maybe not that many, but somewhere in that range.
past acts there (other stampede years) have been BBB(2 years ago) Snoop Dogg and to be honest, I dont know who they had last year. It slips my memory.
