Is this version the same as the one I downloaded?

Posted by tu_face on Jun-17-2003 20:39:

no mate, its slightly different plus its mastered

glad u like!

Posted by DJ APX on Jun-18-2003 00:21:

Thumbs up

Niiiiice I really like how it builds up , good melody , I'd make the base a bit deeper , but that's just me :P , I can always add a little bit of it with my EQ . Overall : good track !

haha awesome intro! Reminds me kinda of SHOKK. Great work with percussion and beat transitions! oh man, at 1:49, those little clinking things, not good. Great work with effects. Nice lead! i like that kinda popping sound at the begining of the sample. I agree that a better bass is definitely in order . perhaps hold off on the attack some, to give it that kinda growing roar, you know? nice work!

nic

thanks for the comments guys im glad u both like it! maybe the bass could be deeper.. but when i was mastering i was booming it out (hehe probably not the best thing to do for mastering ) so it sounded all good.. maybe i'll fiddle with the eq's a bit or sumthin

Posted by SugarShack on Jun-18-2003 14:25:

Nice work i like this alot the lead is quality only thing missing imo is a harder bassline/kick

Posted by Icone on Jun-18-2003 16:25:

Sounds neat mate! Some cool fx going on. I do think the track is a bit to dry and mono... maybe pan some synths/fx and add some reverb to fill things up

Bye,
LW

Posted by tu_face on Jun-18-2003 17:21:

cheers for the comments

lightworks: i see what u mean, i shall fiddle

sugarshack: aye, many ppl have said that, i will sort it

do not tease us!

where is the hi-fi version!!!!!

Posted by tu_face on Jun-19-2003 08:29:

well its not really that lo-fi

Posted by Fundamental on Jun-19-2003 10:41:

The intro is quality! The hats at the start are fantastic and I like that "popping" sound too. The melody is good. Can't really remember much else about it, coz it was kinda late when I gave it a listen. Oh well...

hehe well glad u like it im also glad that ppl like the squeaky noise.. when i had only got it half finished i sent it some ppl and it annoyed them lol... but i like it anyway hehe

expect a minor update by next week (hopefully)

Listening........

the intro is different, i like that. OK now i got a cool bass in, its a tad overpowering for the percussion. Nice intro synth. At the moment this type of trance isnt really appealing to me, but its well produced. Had a nci elong fill, everything quiet, and now theres a synth filtering in, i like it! everythings now come back in, and it wasnt what i was expecting, i think its too happy for the sound of the track.

Overall m8, not a bad effort.

Is it up for a remix? I got some ideas for this one

Shep

Nice mate Production was good, the inro is mint. For me, the bass was a bit over powering and in places it was a bit 2 happy but that's just me! he he.....

Good job!

Posted by tu_face on Jun-20-2003 23:14:

thanks for the comments absynth + shepless

after having a few listens back i thought the bass was maybe a little too in the background well after the weekend im gunna have a good look at it all at home, i did most of the work at my mates cus my comp is getting to the state where it cant handle shit

Posted by ABSYNTH on Jun-21-2003 11:18:

You might want 2 try a bit more comp on the bass, it's not 2 loud, it just needs 2 sit in the mix a little better

Posted by tu_face on Jun-24-2003 12:19:

ok mate, i am going to work on it today

any more before i get cracking?

Yeah, it annoyed the fuck out of me when you sent the first version but works great now.

Could definetly use some bongo's and/or jungle animal noises

maybe.. do you want to weave ur bongo magic on it?

Posted by -blake- on Jun-25-2003 03:38:

Very cool beginning for sure! This sounds really good, but there's a couple things I noticed..
The bass could maybe be a bit quieter when it comes in..but hey, I like the sound of it. It works well.
1:49 - someone mentioned this, but ya..there's a click that comes in there that well.. shouldn't
2:40 - 3:30 basically the lead into the breakdown is AWESOME. I love how you did that..not just your average quiet-down-some-tracks-bring out-others.
4:22 - the synth that comes in here could be a little different I think, maybe just lower the attack on it or make the note durations just a little bit longer.

Overall though, this is great. I noticed a ton of tracks in here and they all sound really good together..there's a lot going on but it doesn't sound messy. Nice job..I look forward to hearing some more of your stuff!

Posted by tu_face on Jun-25-2003 09:30:

thanks for the in-depth reply mate i will take things into account there are a lot of tiny little snots in it that i can here now hehehe

Posted by klingklang77 on Jul-01-2003 21:33:

i like it very much, i always like your stuff. .
there is that bell in there (1.50) comes in a bit too strong and just doesn't fit to me. but after a while (about a min) it blends in nicely.
nice beginning, nice ending. everything flows nice.

more songs, please!

glad u like it! that bell thing really gets on my tits when it comes in now lol.. expect an updated version by the end of the weekend

as far as more tunes r concerned, i am soon starting a remix competition (plummet - damaged (3-F remix) here in this forum) and i am going to start either a rework of stigma, or a brand new tune after that.. i have many things on the 'to do' list hehehe
