-- Numark DM3000x/Numark Matrix 2/Behringer DX-626
Numark DM3000x/Numark Matrix 2/Behringer DX-626
Numark DM3000x ~$160-120
Numark Matrix 2 ~$160-200 (only 2ch)
Behringer DX-626 ~$100-120
Gemini 626i ~$140-160
Debating one of these mixers for my first setup . . .
Do I really need the third channel, and are the Matrix series impressive?
I really like the Numark 3000, who has it and what do you think?
The Behringer is the cheapest by far, as far as sound/build/durability does it do as well as the other two?
Thanks . . .
the Behringer you're looking at is older and not as good as the VMX300 if you want 3 channels. And yes you want the 3 channels. You'll quickly find uses for that final channel. With most mixers you'll only find the 2nd and 3rd for doing the crossfading. The last one (er first) is for mic input or even another music source. And besides the volume sliders are supposed to be best used for transitions.
and so, the Numark 3001X is quite fine for what you want apparently. it's also a decent mixer with the 3 inputs. If I were you I'd be looking for at least a few things::
-3 band EQ for each channel
-PFL or Cue volume and balance control (a master/cue switch is nice too)
-3 band EQ kills
-high sound quality
-smooth crossfader
The gemini 626i is also probably what ur looking for.
The Matrix 2 is not one of the best IMO. It's too big for what it does... only 2 channels, etc.
dude w8 for the djx700
Hey, you could just PM DJ Tranz and get one of whichever you like for like half off!

It's a running joke on the forum. DJ Tranz works for a reputable online DJ shop, and he's always trying to get people to buy stuff from him. He's incentive is that he can get people good deals, although I was exaggerating when i said 50% off!
