What mixer should I buy? please help!

ok, i've spent a long 6 months with my stanton sk-6f mixer and i hate it, and it's holding my progress back.

it's time for a nice new mixer. i'm looking to spend around $200. i want effects, nice kills, and a few extra channels wouldn't hurt, i think someday i will get cd dex.
but i want it to last, i can't go buying a new mixer every 6 months!
i spin only trance so scratching means nothing to me, don't need any of those features, and i can just tape over bpm counters.

sorry i know i could use the search feature but i wanted people's current recommendations.
i really appreciate anything you can throw at me! thanks!!!

If i were you, i'd go for the behringer VMX300 (buying it tomorrow for myself, a friend of mine has it, and he's very pleased by it).Or the little more expensive behringer DJX700, but, there you have a semi professional machine...(but not too expensive though)

USE THE SEARCH BUTTON!!! haha, j/k! Anyway, i was going to recommend the mixer that Tiger777 did. I've gotten a chnace to play around with it, and it's a fun mixer. PLus, it's got those little options that everyoen likes to have for the hell of it.

Behringer ProDJX700 for $199.95, but you need to wait a bit, should be released shortly.
above posters forgot that you wanted special effect also. ProDJX700 is the only mixer to have special effect for under$200.00usd Cheers.

i found it on this site..

http://www.zzounds.com/item--BEHDJX700

of course only new jersey gets taxed on it! of course!!! that $12 i could spend on a record.

anway, the 700 is essentially the Pioneer mdj600. like, exactly the same. i just hope the quality is the same.

this mixer looks like my best bet for now...it should be coming out in 10 days actually.

dj tranz, could i get it from you so i don't have to pay more than $200? do you guys offer free shipping too?

oh and if anyone has anything else to add, that's cool to. i haven't made my mind up yet.

Can i come over and play on it?

There was recently a thread about how the Behringers compare with Pioneers and I wrote a little spiel on it.

Basically they are exactly the same internals. Its just that Pioneer have more levels of distribution. And each distributor raises the price just that little bit more. When the mixer finally arrives at Bedroom Deejay's house, it ends up costing 2X that of a Behringer.

I bought the vmx300, and I'm very happy I did... I can recommend it to every1.

ok...i've done some searching in the forum and some research, and it seems the 700 will be an ok mixer for someone like me, a poor bedroom dj who wants some fun stuff with their mixer.

i'm sure the effects aren't going to be great, but at least i could learn on them...and then when i do spin out i will be familiar with effects, and hehehe i will be especially familiar with the MDJ600 if the club has it.

i might get it from that zzsounds site. i called them up and they said even though the expected date to get them in is the 30th, behringer is really bad at getting shipments in on time. but hey they ship from jersey obviously so i will get it in like a day.

unless dj tranz can do better than a total of $212!

i just hope this works out, i didn't have to much luck with my current mixer.

He can do better than that, but you would have to wait til late August, how do I know? Cause I put myself on a special Vlad-made reserve list.

I just got the DJX400, its good stuff for a learner, the 700 should be nice, 47 breathtaking digital effect presets in 24-bit quality: delay, reverb, flanger, filter, panner, ultrabass, exciter, vinylizer, voice changer and more, mmmmmmmm effects
