I know ripping is illegal , and its trully a bad thing to do. We should support the Artists and their music if we like it. However, not everybody can afford themself buying CDs/Vinyls every month/week, and after all im sure they love the music as much as we do, so why denying them from downloading ripped music ( which is available for free ), or buying ripped CDs which are cheeper than the originals. Sorry, but this is how i see it.

Peace.

Just to put my .02 in: I download all songs before I buy them. I buy an immense amount of vinyls, especially in the past month or 2, but I always support the artists. I think downloading/uploading is essential in buying the record, cause else, why would you buy something you haven't heard.

And if I were to rip a song, which I have no reason to, I would never put it up on this board for everyone to point me out, that was pretty stupid.

peace,

Steve

Posted by DaveSZ on Jun-20-2003 19:11:

That's true Steve!!!! I never buy without listening first either!!

But it's still stupid to admit you're a ripper...

Dave is gonna be pissed though...

Posted by wookieslut on Jun-20-2003 19:24:

thats just really rude to say your ripping it with josh gabriel and mavi visiting the boards every now and then

all nice being in it for the music and all, but the bills still have to be paid.

Nice point of view, but I do think after you listening the song you like is either buying or deleting it from your machine..

I have mp3s on mine, can't lie here but, of course I support the artists as much as I can - buying or deleting is a simple way to support them.

Posted by m0sh on Jun-21-2003 10:55:

I bought mp3 for 0.49 Euro
