High speed internet alternatives

Last week BT checked our lines to see if it was broadband compatable. After they fucked us around, saying it was and we got all the equipment to set up broadband, they actually found out the line couldnt be used for broadband, and they arnt installing a new line down anytime soon.

Now as you people who remember the old ancient thing called a 56k, i want rid of it, and so does everyone else in my fam because of its poor connection and download speeds!!!

Anyone got any ideas on what i could buy to get high speed internet at a resonable deal! I can not have NTL because they have not installed their network up in our area yet (we live in self built houses).

Help people, i hate this download speed of 3.45kb/s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well your pretty much fucked.

I live in a village, we live out of reach of broadband, and ntl havent isntalled cable. We dont even have gas yet. LOL.

Anyway check out the bt website for future options. They include wireless tecnology, using the whole high speed mobile technology. There is also satalite technology, fast downloads, but if its cloudy, yr also stuffed.

Not lookin good for the next year atleast.

Sorry

I know, and BT said that they're expectations for people connecting to broadband are half what they expected. I wonder why, maybe because they need to fucking lay down some wires!!!! idiots!!!

BTW porn thing, i personally dont d/l it, but my brother spends time doing it and once a month i sneak into his collection and have a peak!! hehe!!

cant u get 128k ISDN outa a telephone line? and u can buy special modem cables, like standard ones but are designer abit better for increased download speeds, check electrical and data wholesalers.

If u work full time u could always try satalite, Its expensive but ur gonna need a modem for upstream. Pretty good from what i hear downstream but its pricey.

Well there is satellite. A company has started up which charges pretty much the same as adsl/cable and is much faster downstream. I have registered my interest with them, would mind a nice fast sat connection. The company is called everywhere broadband, its worth checkingout!

you could wait for these 3'rd generation mobile phones, they are suposed to have faster net than a modem aperently but it would cost loads though. Can you not just move house?
