Dance Music

I was wondering if non-cheesy (quality) Dance music actually exists. Some examples would be great...

Um, everything we post in these forums

All right you didn't get it. Electronic music has many big genres like Trance, House, Techno, etc. One of these genres is Dance music. The one in the lines of Gigi D'Agostino, Kylie Minogue, etc. Now I'm asking for some Dance music but non-cheesy: quality Dance music? is there anything like that?

Well you seem to think that dance music is all cheesy electronic music, so i dont think your gonna find any non cheesy cheese.

Yeah maybe, there's just like three or four Dance music songs I like, that's why I'm wondering if this whole genre is build of only cheesy songs.

I've always thought that dance music was simply another word for electronica....and that what you are reffering to is simply commercial dance music.

Um dance is not a genre, please make the world realise this, there is no such genre as "dance"

Thats what i thought, as far as i know it's just a general/alternative name for electronica.

It gets right up my nose when people say that they like "dance and trance"

Dance is stereotyped as the songs that people feel ANYONE could make.

Darude, Alice Deejay, Vengaboys, etc. are all qualified as Dance.

Electronica isn't a genre either.

Yeah, I know - in Finland the stores usually have a genre for "Dance & Techno" and all they have under it is trance, house, disco and funk (Jamiroquai etc.) .
