Outdoor speakers
Which speakers would be best for outdoor use.
In particular, durability in the summer months when humidity is high?
Also, how much power would be needed for outdoor events (200 or more people)?
Thanks!
Bah, outdoor, I think you'll need 1000Watts. But, it does depend on the surface. You don't need special speakers for paricular environnements. Just use normal speakers with a good frequency response, I'm sure dj_tranz will give you a good product

The MVP37 is a two-way, full-range loudspeaker system. Outfitted with dual cast frame 15-inch drivers the enclosures substantial low-end performance allows the unit to easily provide full-bandwidth sound reinforcement without the use of subwoofers, while its overall height is such that it can effortlessly project over the tops of crowds. Central to the MVP37 is a bass-ported design and a one-piece 90x40 lrge format molded horn section housing Communitys new proprietary LM20 compression driver. Just like all he other MVP Series, the MVP37 offers a Thermal-Link Driver Protection System automatically monitoring high frequency performance. The Thermal-Link circuit is designed to automatically adjust to the constantly changing protective threshold unique to a given application based upon driver temperature. Solid-state and self-resetting, this safeguarding network guarantees that each enclosure can remain running at maximum output, without risk of speaker damage. Externally corner protectors, recessed steel handles, rigging points, rubber feet, a 16-guage steel grille, and locking connectors are all found on each MVP37 enclosure.

and get something like Crown CE4000 or Crest Audio LT2000 or Carver Pro PX1450 amplifier, now what about monitors, gotta have those!!! or do you have your own pair? Cheers...
i recommend the community speakers as well
our company uses them for our concert sound and they are mint
IMO they're the best loudspeakers you can get aside from turbosound
Thanks for the help guys. I really appreciate it.
We have 2 stage monitors, both rated at 100W program. Would the amp used for 1000W speakers blow them out?
defintely! you will need a seperate amp for your monitors, putting out about 200W channel max i think.
