A nice mixer to go alongside some Technics

Hi ive checked 3 pages of threads and havent seen a "What mixer thread" but im sure theres been one :P

In A few months i can get a pair of technics *YAY* Its been clear they are the best to get, period. They are going to be my first decks, however its not so clear what mixer i should get.

Any suggestions? Or things to look out for. Say 100-250 (Sorry dont know that in dollars)

Smiley DJ

Try looking at either the Vestax PMC-270a or the Vestax 170a...I got the PMC-270a and its a quality mixer....look around and see what you like...the Vestax should be in your price range depending on where you get it...

good luck

If you can save longer and stretch a bit more, get the Allen & Heath Xone 32.. Quality mixer!

Cool

i agree the pioneer one is good. i personally have the new stanton RM-100 and i highly recommend it. its half the price of the pioneer cause it doesnt have that BPM counter
check it out:

Mixer

I just started myself with the Technics MKIIs and I use the Pioneer DJM-300. It's simple and easy to use, plus it will be a good starter for when I eventually move up to the DJM-500 or 600 (since they are all made by Pioneer).

One thing I noticed about the DJM-300 that I liked more than the Vestax 170A is that the EQs are balanced on all 3 ranges and they are full-kill EQs (the 170A) is not. Of course, the Vestax is 3 channel and the DJM-300 is only 2 channel but if you're just starting out, a 2 channel mixer should be fine. Anyone else have the DJM-300?

Everyone I know that mixes in my area use pioneer mixers, and I've seen them used in clubs as well. As a basic mixer the DJM-300 is an excellent buy. Good EQ's and high quality sound, the headphone monitor settings are pretty sweet also. You could probably get one for around 250pounds..

I'm also using a Pioneer mixer... It's the DJM-500 paired with some 1200m3d's. The x-fader is really nice on the Pioneer and so is the EQ.

that mixer is preety pricey for a first mixer...if yer just startign id suggest getting the djm300 as some1 said above or the vestax 170a which is the mixer i got...quality mixers for beginner use.

buy a 4 way mixer... dont waste yur money in something u have 2 trade in 4 something larger in a half a year or something.... 2 channels for the decks... and 1 (or 2) for cd players, in case you cant find a song u really want on vinyl... you could also go 4 a effect box or something... make it really take off with some fancy schmancy phazer fx right before the songs starts after the takeoff, usually two bars before..... but thats MY opinion, its up 2 u, when it comes down to it....
