hey d00ds!

i know there prally has been 2194 topics like this before but i searched and couldn't find any

so i was just curious... i know davidscott, tae aka dj tek, me, jonathan aka djlord, and s0t aka chris spin....

who else does?!

Posted by DJ Lac on Jun-24-2003 01:24:

:)

ya I spin but not anymore just in production now. But I still have my tables and 500 records. My first record was to thank my sister because she started me off in a postive way. Paul van Dyk- Avenue/Another way record in 99.

I'm getting a place at Red lounge every fridays as soon as the hip hop party leaves.

The Deep Blue Party is covering the electronic party there.

I did a good amount in college, and a few years after.

Nowadays, I'm in the eternal quest of a set that doesn't suck

I spin as well. College radio and House party Dj extrodinare. Oh yeah, at that Exit place once or twice. But other than that I pretty much suck.

I'm not really an NYta...Im a DCTA, but I spin

Posted by DjDeComp on Jun-24-2003 03:09:

I've been standing in the middle of my living room and twirling around since I was 2, so I'm an expert at that.

Yeah I spin...started to produce 2 1/2 years ago.

Posted by Vlad on Jun-24-2003 03:28:

Im just starting out at spinning... still buying equipment.

Look out for me in a couple years... Everyone in here has official comp's/VIP/backstage/whatever to anything that I do in the future wherever/whenever it is.

I've been spinnin for about a year, don't have as much practice time as I would like, but still manage to pull off killer sets here and there. I've done a few lounges, and Roxy once, nothing regular though.

I dunno if I'm gonna say I'm awesome or anything. One problem with me is I have terrible confidence when it comes to mixing. No matter how good someone tells me a set of mine, I will always disagree. Otherwise, I would have started to get my stuff out there ages ago, and try to establish myself somehow. Who knows, maybe I just gotta say fuck it, and just do it...

:: Sigh ::

see the human world as a flaw.. if everyone looked more on the postive side then the negative side it would be a happier place. If they think its good hell I'd say ok cool am good then. Don't let the confiedence part get to you. I have the same problem as you have. Look at me I have problems sending my song out to labels cuz I think ahead like what if it will be bad or etc.. but then again I have nothing to lose cuz there are a million of people that hate or like the things you do. Its not a perfect world :P. I was born here to do something... Have fun, believe in something, and help other people.

Hmmm, you know? Those are a couple of points I shall definitley keep in mind from now on. It's prolly things like those that people can say, that would help me grow a pair, and perhaps make me believe that I can at least create something that at least 1 person likes. It's just that one pat on the back that can let a person know that he/she is is doing an alright job...

I started buying my first real trance vinyl in february of 02, I picked up Ferry Corsten - Punk [Tsunami] and Oceanlab - Clear Blue Water [CodeBlue] at Yoshitoshi...and it started there.

altho, the first vinyl I ever bought was Faithless - Salva Mea (2x12" pack) back in 1999 or something!
