Above & Beyond is pretty good. They aren't my favorite or anything, but they've put out some pretty good tunes.

Love the way you put it, lol.

I love em for sure!

Above & Beyond = Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Sijamki collectivly. They are also responsible for such great production aliases as:
POS, Aalto, Oceanlab, Dirt Devils, Freestate, Tranquility Base, Nitromethane, Super 8, Rollerball...and more Im sure

if any of you are in the Wash, DC area in July, come to Code @ Nation and check them out, Above & Beyond will be there on July 25th

i think..
'the three wise men'
would make a better analogy.

they feed jesus with gold, myrrh and frankincense.
jesus predicates to the masses.
that satisfies the religion.

they satisfy ours.

I Above & Beyond

Posted by GrimReaper on Jun-26-2003 11:32:

I love most A&B productions and remixes, but not exactly all.. every single one of them just don't do it for me.

Very consistent guys...

Their remix of Ayu - M is one of my all-time favorite tracks.

well, after a few mix-up lately, regardnig alias productions and so on, I have gathered a list that shows this exactly:

-Above & Beyond = Jono Grant, Paavo Siljamki and Tony McGuinness
also under these aliases:
- Anjunabeats
- Dirt Devils
- Freestate
- Oceanlab
- Rollerball
- Skoob - with Mike Koglin
- Tease

- Aalto = Paavo Siljamaki and Miika Eloranta
- Super8 = Miika Eloranta
- POS = Paavo Siljamaki
- Nitromethane = Tony & Liam McGuiness
- Zed X = Jono & Paavo Siljamki

hope this helped..

The others are correct but what does Darude do here? It has nothing to do with Miika.. Darude = Ville Virtanen, co-produced by Jaakko "JS16" Salovaara & Heikki "Bostik" Liimatainen.

Posted by Sjodalf on Jun-26-2003 19:12:

hum, guess you have right on that one..
read somewhere that he co-produced on the Darude project..so I filled him in..

Posted by beema on Jun-26-2003 19:34:

so Super 8 is some other guy huh? wierd...all Super 8 productions sound very much like A&B productions..

POS - Remember (Summer Sun) was produced with "samples" writen by Tony McGuinness & Jono Grant...so that basicially means all 3 of them did it
lol

Gotta say that the reason i got into trance was when i first heard of above & beyonds remix of Ayu- M a few years back. Eversince then its opened the way for me to enjoy all that trance has to offer. BTW Ayu- M (above & beyonds Remix) is personally still one of my all-time favorites still. Definitely one of their best remixes till this day. Overall i pretty much like all thier productions and remixes.

Actually, Aalto = Paavo Siljamki + Miika Eloranta (Super8), Nitromethane = Tony McGuinness + brother, Super8 = Miika Eloranta. The rest I'm not sure about.

Love Poundin' Sensation

A&B ownZZ
the remix of epic was awsome

Posted by udham on Jun-27-2003 03:01:

King

ABB are one of the best producers for uplifting / melodic trance .. and their Oceanlab productions totally own!

Posted by Joca on Jun-27-2003 05:57:

I use to really like A&B but I think they over due a lot of their productions with rather chessy synths. I really like the Razorfish remix though.

Posted by twizta on Jun-27-2003 06:35:

clear blue water and sky falls down
..those 2 are always my fav vocal trance track
