I believe the game he is playing is some version of pop n music which is one of many bemani games. These games are just starting to get popular in the states, the one alot of you probly know is Dance Dance Revolution. I used to play quite a bit of DDR and Beatmania, but haven't in a while .

Anyways, I'm possitive this is a bemani game or a ripoff, however I'm fairly certain it is some incarnation of pop n music.
