MK-S - Astropolis(John O'Callaghan Remix)

Hi all,
here is my remix of MK-S - Astropolis

MKS - Astropolis (John O' Callaghan Remix)
160kbps 11meg

Let me know what u think, i put a lot of time into mastering this track so it has plenty of punch and smooth synth quality. It builds up slow....nice breaks...swirly synths and then....well u can find out the rest

Thanx- John.
hope u like it S2K

Downloading now, will update when I have it

*Edit*
Top quality stuff mate, I see you are getting the hang of T-Racks already (Mastering is Sweet on this track)

I love the whole feel of the track and the transitions between breakbeat & 4/4 beats keeps the whole mix interesting
My only prob is that you could have given the breakbeat more variation, such as a double snare every 4 bars or mini bass drum sequence change
Overall, its a extremly well produced track.
Excellent

Thanks for the remix John.

I'm liking the breaks at start of this, some really nice percussion. Sounds very fat. There's a synth around the 2-3minute mark that sounds like it could do with some reverb/delay... The structure of the mix is very interesting, a refreshing change... The transition from breaks to 4/4 is good, smoothly done. My only criticism is it gets a bit repetetive after a while, perhaps more synth lines would liven things up a bit.

Nice one.

thanks for the comments guys, good to see you's liked it, muchos appreciated

i went for the breakbeat/4x4 variation basically cos s2k nailed the original trance version on the head and i felt it couldnt be bettered, so i wanted to make something melodic and something you would tap your foot to ye know, so when the main 4x4 comes in u get a bit of a shock and an extra boost energy wise

point taken bout the breakbeat variation extra snares etc, i was focusing more on synths and pads blending and fading, its very much a music based track rather than percussion.

glad u liked the mastering bren (cheers for the program by the way its a f*ckin gem!!!)

s2k u shud send this away now u have 3 mixes

nice hi hat work in the intro. not likin that snare though. great piano man. i love that dirty-sounding lead towards the end. niceee man. 8/10

er....i personally think your percussion is way too soft...i can hardly hear that snare over those riding synths (i dig some of this synth/piano work by the way). i'm not diggin this lead too much either...but i'm really picky with this kinda stuff anyway. i'd punch up this percussion...i dont like the snare too much...some cool ideas here though.

thanks for the feedback guys

i just went for a snare instead of the usual clap for a change

yeah i got the 2nd lead of christina aguilera......get it....

sounds really nice

the hihat is fine with me... perhaps some higher freqs / treble in it might beef it up a little.

one of your better remixes I think, albeit more breakbeat-trance oriented

cheers,
LW
