-- Adapting to a new headphone
Adapting to a new headphone
Hi all,
Last months I replaced my Sony MDR-V500 for a V6 from Sony. I had no problem whatsoever with adapting to my new headphone.
Unfortunately the left cup of my V6 went silent two weeks ago and since I know repair will take quite long in Holland I decided to buy another pair of headphones (Will use the V6 as backup), it cost me a lot of money, but well, just have to leave some other things I guess..): the HD-25 from Sennheiser (BLUE limited edition!!!), if you want to see pic, just say it
)
It looks really cool, and the sound is awesome,..just..i'm having some problems with mixing, well at least last night I had
The bass in my opinion is quite heavy and boomy, so it's quite hard to destiguish the two basslines (when you have both channels playing in your phones). I guess I just have to adapt to them, but still, I find it strange and not very plessant. I was just wondering if any of you had the same "problems" (with the HD-25) Let me know!
Greetings,
Blighty
Blightmaster!!
Whats up bro.
Ive never mixed with the HD25 only heard them, and I liked how they sounded.
SOrry to hear that the left cup blew on your V6s....
You never reviewed or told me how you liked them on the headphone thread. Im gonna talk to you at BB, cause i want to know how much you payed for your headphones!!! And I do want to see a pic of the HD25.
Sometimes though, it does take time to adjust to headphones when bass is different. In the beginning, when i first got my Sony MDR7506 from switching from the Sony MDRV700DJ, it was difficult to beatmatch. But now, if i try to use the MDRV700s, its again kinda hard, cause Im not use to the bass extension. I guess you just have to get used to it, but maybe one of these other cats here on the board that uses the HD25 will be able to better help you with your direct question.
See you at Basicbeats brothaa
