Best vinyl shops in Sydney?

Hi everybody!
I'm from NZ, I'm coming to Sydney (first time visit to Sydney) for two weeks and I want to pick up some new vinyl while I'm there. Where are the best shops around Sydney area for:
Uplifting trance (w00t!)
Progressive house
Funky/deep/tech house tunes

If anybody could recommend some places I should visit, that would be very helpful.

Also, I checked out the sticky thread on upcoming events, Halcyon sounds interesting, can anybody tell me if there are any other good events to go to in Sydney on Saturday 12th July? Are there any good bars/clubs in the city which are a must-visit?

Central Station Records... Oxford St, Darlinghurst (opposite Hungry Jacks)

One Stop Deejay ... across the road in the mall

there are more around that area

I guess the best record shops for trance/prog in Sydney are Central Station Records and One Stop DJ .. there are others but I'm not real familiar with them....

Not sure what's happening on the 12th of July, but if you're here on Friday the 11th you absolutely must come to Halcyon

While you're in Sydney, go to Home at Darling Harbour on a Friday night for Sublime - its mostly hard trance but other different styles in the other rooms... the Dendy and the Globe usually have tech/prog/breaks type nights. Also if you like bars head for Pontoon, the Slip Inn or Cargo Bar Best clubbing info about Sydney is probably over at www.inthemix.com.au

The best Rekkid shop in Sydney in Spank. www.spank.com.au THey have THE LARGEST range of prog i've ever seen, and it's always as up to date as anywhere in the world online. They are freaks, with THE BEST customer service.

For trance, I think Syd sucks, and always order online with me only getting 1 rekkid (can't even remember) for Syd. They are just tooo far behind in delivery/distro times.

Nights to see, what webby said is correct. Halcyon is where it's @ After that nothing is going to be good, but u could try any of what he said :P

Thanks for the correction, best for all Umm...Chris there is crazy...he calls people up and plays tracks down the phone and shit...like cold calls as he thinks they will like it....man they rock!
