Written by: Tim van Waard, aka Afterhourpower Introduction Matt Darey has been one of the pioneers of trance since its early beginnings in 1996 with the release of his first (Goa Trance) record "Li Kwan - Point zero" one of Oakenfolds pinnacle tracks. Since then many tracks and remixes topped the charts worldwide, including two UK #1 remixes: Gabrielle - Rise and ATB - 9PM. DJ'ing As well as making million-selling mixcd series like Euphoria (next Matt Darey Euphoria album release expected in November 2003) Matt also is DJ'ing around the globe. Matt has recently steped up his DJ'ing in the U.k taking the roof off at U.k venues "Passion", "Euphoria @ Heaven" and winning best National DJ at the "Peach" awards 2003: "I spent most of my twentys on the other side of the decks raving so I know what makes the crowd rock. I do tend to play slightly harder than most people expect. The albums I make are for the Mainstream whereas my sets are for the clubs." The mixing of Matt is entirely off CD-R, which is quite uncommon: "This allows me to create my own edits and Fx which would not be possible mixing off vinyl. I also mix tunes by musical key so that one track blends seemlessly into the next, the same technique I use on my Euphoria albums. Im a great believer in using the latest technology to push foward the sound of my live sets." Matt also performs regularly live with famous vocalist Marcella Woods to deliver a live experience. New Releases Matt speaks about new releases: "Except for polishing up Moody and remixing Shine On "Electrobuzz" (Shine On was done years ago). Gamemaster 2003 is just the first of many new tunes and remixes of my own songs that I've been working on... After Gamemaster is a bit of a corker called "Nocturnal Delight" which Im sure you will be hearing shortly! Then there's "Voice of an Angel"on Incentive with Marcella Woods, which is a bit of an Anthemjust finishing the mix now after extensive road testing. Then there's a remake of my first ever tune "Li Kwan - Point Zero" which is the best tune I ever made with mixes from myself and a few other big names TBA....and theres more!!!!" About Lost Tribe EP 2003 that features Gamemaster 2003: "Its an upfront copy of what will be one of three tracks on a new "Lost Tribe" Ep. There will be a couple more mixes of Gamemaster TBA and new mixes of the breakbeat tracks "Angel" and "Under The Red Sea"." Agnelli and nelson - El nino (Matt darey mix) is definately in my top 5 tunes of all time, hopefully Matt can rediscover his form in 03.

and a new matt darey euphoria, excellent, i've noticed how terrible compilations are atm, the very best of euphoric breakdown blah blah... is the most recent example
it has that annoying world cup 98 theme on it as well as a 100% pure POP song 
compilations have really turned into pure commericialism, hopefully this will sort that out
